I am looking for something fun for my daughter to do. We can only go swimming and the playground so many times...
Any ideas?

What can I do next?

Hi S.,

Here are a few more ideas that my 21 month old son enjoyed this summer that are also good year-round. Many towns have nature centers. We go to the Bay Village Nature Center to see the animals inside and outside (free of charge!). They also have a Twinkle Tots program in the planetarium on Thursday and Saturday mornings at 11:00. That costs $1 for each of you (including baby). That program is for babies on up and it is really good.
The area libraries are signing up for fall storytime (which is not just storytime anymore). This is also no charge.
Finally, there's a Gymboree in Westlake that offers classes with movement and music for different age levels. That does have a cost, but my son loved it!

Good luck!
C.

Hi S.!

Check out http://gocitykids.parentsconnect.com. This site lists free and non-free activities for all age groups for each day of the week for most metropolitan areas so it's great for Cleveland and vacation fun, too. You can even search out special places you would be interested in like art classes, children's plays, , rainy day fun, amusement parks, etc. My son (23 months) and I have found free storytime at Barnes & Nobles and the Lake Erie Science Center (free admission), two of our favs. In a few weeks, we're going to try the Rock-n-Tot event (had to pay!) for the first time. Sounds like a lot of fun. This site arranges our social life for us!

At Burke Lakefront airport you can get pretty close-up and watch the planes take off and land.
The zoo is free on Mondays.
Construction sites are always interesting.
The Science Center has a nice polymer room toddlers like.
Lakewood Library has a beautiful play area.
Are you in a playgroup?
At Wendy park at Whiskey Island, you are very close to trains, and boats.
I think almost anything/anyplace can be interesting at that age, especially if it's new.

Hi S.,
I have two little ones, so I too am always looking for fun things to do. In Avon is Playground World that allows the children to play on all the equipment every Mon, Tues and Fri morning. We like to do storytime at the library, so you can check with your local library for times. We also go to storytime at Barnes and Noble at Crocker Park (every Wed and Fri morning) and Great Northern Mall provides crafts and fun songs with Miss Tara from the Beck Center the first Thurs of each month in the play area. I hope this helps!!
