I am new to the Houston area, and orgionally from Oklahoma. I only know my family in this area, and haven't met a lot of people. I mainly go to college, and stay at home with my 3 month old daughter. All of my friends live in OK, so it's hard making friends here. I'm kind of worried that my daughter won't be social with other children if I don't have any friends with children here. So, I'd be interested in joining a playgroup with other moms with children around the same age.
Hi, T.! Yes - in which part of town do you live? I have a 10 week old daughter (along with a 6 year old daughter) who I'm sure will be ready for play dates in a few months. All of my immediate family (Dad, Mom, sister and 2 brothers) live in Oklahoma City and Edmond, OK. So I know how it is feeling lonely, though I do have my friends here. I am a SAHM of a 2 month old baby boy. And I also have the same fears with my son. I would be happy to be a part of your play group. What part of town do you live in? I think that it is beneficial to both child and mother to have that sort of interaction. Sending my son to daycare is not something that was exactly right for me, so I believe a playgroup will be great. Please let me know more details as you get them. Thanks.
