Pete & Repeat is a great place! They are located on State Line near 79th Street. Here's their website: http://www.petenrepeat.com. You can also find a 10% off coupon on their site right now.
I am looking for some good quality low priced clothing for me and my kids. I am on a fixed income and need thrift store prices with good quality clothes. Or if you know of any clothes closets in the area?

You might start watching craigslist. There are always people on there that are looking to get rid of clothes. Just a suggestion.
The Salvation Army is about the best that I have found. They have a huge selection because they recieve so much stuff. My closest store have a $.49 days for kids clothes three days a week. Everyonce in a while they will do a 75% off sale which is even better because thier kids clothes are only $1.05 everyday.
You mentioned you are a stay at home mom on a fixed income. Have you thought about going out and getting a very part time job just for the sole purpose of buying your childrens clothes? There are lots of cheap new clothes that are always on sale.
The half of half store in Lenexa is good .also My friend runs Magic kids online very cheao prices its Debskids.com I believe
The thrift store, (Cannot remember if it is Salvation Army or Goodwill) on the corner of Johnson Drive and Lamar in Mission KS has 75% off all clothes the third Monday of every month. They have LOTS of clothes :D My 13yo son and I walked out with a huge trash bag FULL of clothes for $13.

Synergy - 64th & N Oak
Salvation Army - Prospect & Antioch Road area
Major Thrift - Claycomo 135
"New" Do not know the name - But they are around 45th & N Oak across from the McDonalds-Have not been there yet.
If you are looking for name brand's:
Plato's Closet by the Target at 169 & Barry Road-More exspensive but
Children's Orchard is the best for kids. It's very cheap and they only sell name brand clothing. I think they go up to a young adult size. And for you- in Lee's Summit there is a consignment shop called Mary Margaret's and it's awesome! They only sell women's clothing, and it's super cheap and very stylish. I think they sell the clothing of some wealthy women. Anyway, look it up in the phone book, not too many people know about it and you'll love it. It's right around 50 hwy and 3rd Street in a little strip mall.
Check out Breakpointe Thrift store on Santa Fe in Overland Park, next to the Central Library and behind the McDonalds. Also, there is Turnstyles right across the street and another one in that same strip. Prefer either Breakpointe or Turnstyles.
For your children, Children's Orchard has locations in Independence, Lee's Summit and Blue Springs. I've found brand names there and most items are $2 - $5. I like the Craigslist idea as well. You should be able to find just about any size on there and most are in really good shape. Merry Christmas!
Children's Orchard is the best place for used children's clothing and I've found that the one in Olathe has lots of brand name clothes, you can also get on their email list and get emails about their special bag sales and other promotiions. I got my granddaughters the cutest Christmas outfit's for very little money. Remember they also will buy back the clothing that your kids outgrow. I found a place called Wild Child in Lee's Summit that sells high end gently used clothes, they also have some very high end clothes, so some of their stuff runs pretty high. Hope I helped some of you moms!
The In As Much Ministries in Liberty has a thrift store that is really nice. It is the LoveInc thrift store off of North Church road before you get to Pleasant Valley Baptist Church. Also we used to shop at Children's Orchard, there are several in the area.
A lot of times you can find really nice stuff at any thrift store. You just have to be willing to look. A lot of thrift stores have name brand items, you just have to find them. Shop around. Good luck and God Bless and Merry Christmas.
