Hi, I'm throwing a friend a baby shower next month in the Alconbury, England area. I had one person tell me that there was a lady in the Lakenheath area that does Diaper Cakes, do any of you know who this is?
Thanks so much.

I can send you pictures and tell you how to do it. I don't roll the diapers individually.
Where in Germany?
making a diaper cake really is not that difficult -if you have a little time :-) If you have KIDS that're a little older they can even help roll diapers. I would google it. I made one for a friend before and it was very easy, there is a video at videojug... try googling "nappy cakes".
I hope your friend appreciates all the hard work you are pouring into her shower ;-) I'm sure it will be AWESOME with or without the diaper cake ;-)
Aww... I saw your question and was so excited that someone might actually post the name of that lady on here. I understand she does some really cute hair bows too. I was actually talking to a lady today about finding this very same person. I know she exhists... I saw one of her diaper cakes and it was georgeous. Anyways I was told to check out a specific yahoo group that does business listings and sale items. I'm not too familiar with the Yahoo Group thing so I went on there to check. I just typed Mildenhall and it pulled up 15 different sites. If I do find the link I'll forward it on to you. If I don't get back though you might try the Yahoo Group boards too!
J.,
It doesn't take much to make a diaper cake.
Diapers of any size. (if you want her to be able to use them later - don't go any bigger than size 2 since you won't know for sure how fast baby is going to grow.)
All you do is have someone help you layer the diapers - it will remind you of the layers of a rose or an onion. Two hands to hold the diapers together and two to add more until you get the right size "layer"
Place a rubber band around the layer once you have all the diapers in place. Put a thick ribbon around the layer to cover the rubber band.
Make layers of different sizes. You can use pink, blue, yellow, or green ribbon. Add little things like pacifiers and toys to decorate the "cake"
Your friend will appreciate the effort you put into it.
Enjoy your party.
