I am a single mom seeking to start a family tradition with my son for Christmas. He is 15 months old and I would love to here what other family's do. A friend of mines family, get Pajamas every Xmas Eve and they wear them on Christmas. Thought that was cute, but as my son grows, he may not think so. I am also seeking a Christmas gift for my son. I have so many toys that he doesn't really play with, so I'm seeking a toy that other kids love and can't put down for kids around 15 months old. Please help!
Little People. My daughter loved them, I gave them to my friend's kid and she loved them, they are great and not too expensive. She's 4 and still plays with them. Christmas Eve I just let my daughter open one present of her choice. And set out milk, cookies, and carrots for santa and the reindeer of course. :o)
My Mom and Dad got us silver plated sleigh bells with the year of our birth on them engraved with our name and love mom and dad. Every year each kid gets to hang their own ornament on the tree at the hight of their head on Christmas Eve. It is a treasured keepsake even now - each of us hangs our ornament on our own tree - Grandmas will give toys and things - my son will get a similar ornament from us this year - check e-bay for past years or google sleigh bell Christmas ornaments. I have seen them for as cheap as $10.
Dont underestimate the power of new PJs LOL I do this with my kids and I wasnt going to do it this year but they all got mad at me, my 11 year old says its one of her favorite things.
My son loved his soft plastic playskool fire engine and police car that he got when he was 1. He will be 3 in a few weeks and he still plays with them.

My mom always gave us new PJs on Christmas Eve....and my sister and I always loved it! I plan on starting it this year with my 11 month old son :) We also each picked out a special ornament every year and each got to hang 'ours' on the tree before bed on Christmas Eve, and when we left to start our own homes, we got to take those ornaments with us to start out our own tree. It's fun seeing the little ceramic horse, or cute kitten that I picked out when I was little, on our tree now.
