I would try www.etsy.com first. I think most handmade items are sold there first nowadays. Great customer service and much cheaper to sell on than ebay!
Does anyone know of any arts and craft fairs at their churches and any place that I can try to rent a table at. I just started making baby items and thought that would be a good place to start trying to sell them. I am going to try ebay also but I wanted something local just to see what everyone likes and to see how they sell.
Wow, you guys are great. Thanks so much for all your help. I tried to google arts and craft fairs but wasn't having much luck. I am also going to try Etsy, I have been looking on there lately and I love it. I have already bought stuff instead of trying to sell stuff, oh well we mothers have to help eachother out right!! I will call some of the places listed thanks again ladies!!

At Trietsch United Methodist Church in Flower Mound they have a pretty big annual craft fair in September. They have info on their webstie tmumc.org.
I know that alot of elementary schools rent out booths at their fall festivals so you might look into that. Contact me if you want to come to Anna, TX in October. Also, you might try Third Monday Trade Days in McKinney, TX - outdoor flea market every month. There will also be a balloon festival in Anna, TX in November. Contact the Anna Chamber of Commerce for information. That should be a pretty big turnout.
I think there are several churches in the area that have Fall Bazaars. I know that Crossing Point Christian School, on Hunt St. always has one in the fall, and there is also the preschool at Crosspoint Church on Stonebridge Dr. ... they've had Fall Bazaar's as well. You may just even try calling some of the churches in the area ... especially the ones that have preschools or private schools. Good luck!!
Definitely try Etsy.com and Stonebridge United Methodist church is going to have their Holiday Bazaar on November 14th (they are in McKinney). Also Cottonwood Creek Baptist Church has a craft fair on September 8th and then another in December (also in McKinney).
Good luck
There is a fall festival from 8 am - 4 pm on Sunday, Oct. 4, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Denton (corner of Bonnie Brae and Windsor.) I know we are still open for outside vendors for food, crafts, etc., so please contact T. Meyer at ____@____.com are also seeking donations of items for our Silent Auction, which would be a good source of free advertising (you could lay out business cards and brochures next to your donated item.) I'm the silent auction chair, so please contact me if this is something you'd be interested in at ____@____.com.
Another idea -- I know booths are available at some of the local consignment sales, so you might try Just Between Friends at www.jbfsale.com. There is usually a sale in the spring and the fall at each of the cities those host this sale, and I've seen outside vendors before at the one they have at the Denton Civic Center. The fall sale there this year is Oct. 8-10.
Good luck with selling your baby items!
Good luck with your new business. There is a home business networking showcase where you can display a table and sell items on Sept. 14th at 7pm in Lewisville. You can email ____@____.com if you would like to receive the evite with all the event details.
It is a good event for gaining referrals and selling products.
St Jude Parish in Allen Texas November 6-8 It is organized by the "Women of St Jude"
