Does anybody know a good pediatrician in Redondo Beach or Torrance?? I am taking my son to children's medical group in Lomita, but I am not happy with that Doctor.
My son is 5 months and his nose is stuffy for more than 3 months. I took him to his pediatrician and he just tell me that he has colds, but his nose is stuffy for more than 3 months nonstop. I asked his Dr if my son has allergy, but he said that they don't get allergy at this age ( but my friends Pediatrician had told him that her daughter had allergy when she was 3 months!!!)
I have difficult time at nights because he has hard time breathing every single night and he can't sleep good.

I use saline drop and then use the aspirator every day but it doesn't work. I have humidifier in his room all the time and once a day I take him in the bathroom and just leave the hot water running and I hold my son there while is full of steam, still he is stuffy!!!!!!!!!!
if anybody can help me with some advice and recommend me a good Doctor, I will really appreciate.

What can I do next?

I really like Dr. Dunja Maglica, she is great with 22month old boy, I switched to her from Childrens Medical Group (Torrance, on Lomita). She is on Madison street. Email me at ____@____.com if you need additional information. If you search her on google you will get her contact info.

Hi Mitra,
I go to Dr. Flores office in Rolling Hills off of Deep Valley Road near the PV mall. He has 3 lady doctors working with him and an allergist. They are really wonderful.

I have 3 kids and my experience with stuffiness at that age usually revolves around teething. Their drool sits in their throat while their sleeping and usually a runny nose occurs. You may want to have your son sleep Up in his car seat to help his sinuses drain easier.

Good luck, R.

Hi

You really need a better doctor for your baby.. believe me, this is just the beginnning, imagine all the other things that this doctor would not diagnose down the road. I live in RB too, but I go to Dr. Vivian Liu in Manhattan Beach. She is very thorough and competent, and her office is fun for the kids. Her # is ###-###-####. I highly recommend her!

Sounds like you need Dr. Gary Anderson in Torrance, he's wonderful! He's VERY thorough and really takes the time to answer ALL of your questions. He is located right next to the Del Amo Mall.

Good luck!

p.s. When my daughter kept getting fevers last year, we thought that she could be really sick. He took the time and reviewed everything that could be wrong with her based on her symptoms (even the scary stuff, which is of course, what worried us most). We were there a long time, but well worth every second!!!

Hi Mitra, my pediatrician told me that babies that young don't get "seasonal" allergies like adults, but that something in the environment could be bothering her, like dust or mold. Also, this past fall/winter my baby had one cold after another - (I got the colds too, so I knew they were colds), and before that, she was just generally stuffed up. Maybe "cold season" is part of the problem. Also, have you tried a wedge to elevate him a little in the bed? They make special ones for baby cribs. That helps my daughter a lot. She's 8 mos. now and still a little sniffly at times, but not as bad as before.
In any case, I agree you should find a better doctor. Hope one of the recommended ones works out great! And I hope your baby feels better soon.

Dr. Larry Sher and his associates in Palos Verdes are great and their hours are very flexible. It might be a little bit farther, but it's worth it! ###-###-####

Hi Mitra,

I highly recommend our pediatrican - Dr. Nguyen Nguyen - My husband and I just had our first baby - a girl - on Jan. 22nd. After interviewing 4 pediatricians, we knew Dr. Nguyen was the doctor for us! His wife, Hanna is great too. She helps run his office.
