We're trying to conceive now for the past 2 months and are having problems gettin pregnant. We both have our drinks every now and than but nothing of getting drunk off our butts. i did have a c-section with my son could this effected my chances of havin another child?

It just takes time, but a lot of us have been there and it is tough not being patient. I don't even think a doctor will entertain 'options' for infertility until about a year a trying.

If you chose to use an ovulation test, it always seemed to me that you needed to start the days prior to the test being fully positive.

Best luck to you!!

It takes the normal couple with no health issues on average of 6 months to get pregnant. I think you just need to relax and fun trying- it will happen.

Have you spoken about this topic with your OB? I know after my 1st c-section my OB told me that we should try to wait closer to 2 years before having another child so that the uterus has more time to heal from the incision. I wanted our kids closer as well, but followed the doctor's advice and waited to conceive for a while longer.

It takes anywhere from right away to a year to get pregnant. With active trying after a year, your doctor will tell you to start looking for a problem. Two months is not long at all. Keep at it, stop stressing about it and relax. It will happen when it is meant to. I would stop the drinks too and start taking prenatals if you aren't already. They do say that the healthier you are the better your chances, so stay healthy and keep trying!

Good luck!

I had c-sections with boy of my boys, my first son it took me only 3 months to get pregnant with him, but it took me around 5-7 months ( i can't quite remember) to get pregnant with his brother! All I know it seemed like I would never get pregnant and I was getting stressed out over it, till my sister told me to stop worrying about it because that is 1 reason that is stopping me from getting pregnant! It will happen, its just sometimes takes awhile for your 2nd try taken it easy and try not to associate sex with getting pregnant and have fun! Good Luck

C-sections have nothing to do with future issues of getting pregnant unless something in the realm of malpractice happened and they damaged your uterus. Most doctors will not consider that you're having problems getting pregnant until you've been trying for a year if you're under 35 and 6 months if you're over 35.

I too tried to get my kids closer together. We started trying when our oldest was 3 months old. We didn't get pregnant for another year. I think it was God's way of protecting my sanity, LOL. I think it's just the way it is for now. If you've been checked by a doctor and all is fine, it could just be a matter of time. I know it's hard to wait.

Best of luck to you.

it may just take a while. If it hasn't happend within a year then they say to talk to your dr. I got pg with my son within 2 months i think and it took 7 months to get pg the second time around. It will happen it just may take a little longer than you were hoping. Good Luck!
