Searching for Best Doorway Jumper

Hi K., I have a Graco Doorway Jumper that I am selling and it's great! My baby loved it and would have tons of fun. If ever he was cranky we'd put him in there and an instant smile would come to his face! I have a doorway jumper...it is the BEST thing!!

Mine is made by Kids II, and my baby loves it and he is so cute in it.

The Fisher Price Rainforest Jumperoo is great but limited the amount of time your child is using a jumper, saucers, or walkers these type of toys are great for entertaining our children but they can cause delays in walking, sitting up or crawling. My Ped. hates these toys... but what do you do???

Dont buy one!!!!! This is my opinion. But I never liked the jumper. This causes the kids to want to bounce in your lap while standing up (baby) which if one does not have a good hold of the child it leads to possibly hitting the floor. Purchase a nice stationary dome play island or walker.

I used the Evenflo SmartSteps Jump and Go. My daughter loved it. Just be sure that you only use a jumper in doorways which have molding . . . the lip of the molding is very necessary for the jumper's security!

They have jumperoos now that are stand alone, so you don't have to worry about finding a convenient doorway, you can just set it up in whatever room you're in.

I have one that has been passed down for at least 6 children and it is still in great shape! It is Graco brand so I can say that brand would be the way to go, in my opinion. I think the jumpers are great and my 2 yr old loved it and now my 7mth old loves it too. I don't leave them in it for hrs at a time, but to get 15-30 min here and there they are great, and I have not seen any problem with bowleggedness or walking problems from any of the children that have used it. Plus they are pretty entertaining for the children and the parents to watch. Hope you find one that works for you.

When researching this myself, I read several articles that advised against putting your child in a jumper because the repeated impact on their legs can cause the bones to bend and fracture. We ended up buying an exersaucer which he loved.

We had a Johnny Jump up and it was great! We bought it for 10 bucks t Kid to Kid.

My doctor advised against using these or walkers at all for developmental reasons (I think he said something about it being bad for the knees and legs, and actually delaying walking or something). He instead recommended just using an exersaucer

I had a doorway jumper, but it was taking the paint off the wall. I looked around and found one from Fisher Price that is the jumper, but it just sits on the floor instead of hanging on the wall. I have had it for about 5 years and my kids loved it. It also has toys on it and music for them to play with. It did cost about $50-$60, though.

Both of my children adored their jumpers and it caused no damage. I believe they actually had stronger legs because of it and developed rhythm and an appreciation for music at the same time. (We played our own music.)

I did not, however, believe that any doorway allowed enough space and didn't threaten the smashing of little fingers between the jumper and door jam. One we had modified to hang from the ceiling in the middle of a room. The other, we created supports for the jumper to clamp onto the upper part of an opening in the wall between two living spaces that was 3 times the width of a doorway.

You'll need someone handy to find a solution that is right for you but well worth the effort.
Jumpers were my kid's favorite baby toy. They actually learned how to "run", lift their feet, and create swings and spinners out of them. Fun, fun, fun!

I never liked the Jumping Johnny one cause my daughter would LOVE to jump like crazy and she would hit her head on the wall!! But I did like the Jumparoo one even tho she only used it for a few weeks... now she just likes crawling around everywhere and hates to stay in one place! I bought it at Burlington Coat Factory.

I have a Graco, I've had it for 4 yrs now. I used it with my 4 yr old daughter when she was a baby and now using it for my 8month old, so obviously it has held up well...its a life saver. I put it in my kitchen doorway when I am cooking so she can watch Mamma work!

My name is K.. I am a 31 yo 26wks along with my third child. Just a little fyi for you. Those doorway jumpers have way too much material between the baby's legs. Think about it, most women hate getting a weggie from brief panties. That jumper squishes about 5 to 7 inches of padded plastic in between their legs while they are jumping and taking steps. This teaches bowleggedness. Walkers do the same thing. If you are looking for something to keep your baby occupied during your tasks around the house, check out Baby Tenda tables, they aren't that pretty, but they are the safest thing out there and there is no chance of tipping them over or the baby crawling out of it. If that is not a good option, just get a regular playpen. Just my opinion! Good Luck and God Bless!
