It's not on my diet, but it sounds good. Anyone else have those moments? This is probably why I can't lose that last 15.

What can I do next?

So What Happened?

LOL! I think life is too short to worry about everything we are putting in our mouths. :) BTW the cornbread was delicious!

For me its about the process, I will bake up a storm and then send everything into work with hubby. Everyone there loves the treats and I get it out of my system.

Sure we do....send us your cornbread receipe! Just because you make some doesn't mean you have to eat the whole pan....share it with your friends. I bet you CAN lose those last pounds.

Blessings....

How much walking/sit ups/leg lifts (choose your torture) will you have to do to counteract that piece of cornbread? Is it worth it to you? If yes, then go for it! Life is short, eat your cornbread! Just work it off mama!

LOL ! that sounds like my internal conversation this weekend but replace "cornbread" with "sugar cookies."
We made a ton and they were so yummy (and it was just fun hanging out with my kiddos!)

It's part of the "addiction". It's hard to say no to stuff we are hooked on.

I won't even consider a diet that doesn't include biscuits or cornbread.

Some days, the need for the gratification from our favorite yummy foods far outweighs the want to exercise!!! As long as it's not all the time and in moderation, you are ok!

I have been trying to have healthier eating habits and to take better care of my broken body (I've had lots of surgeries and some broken bones.) It's VERY hard when I work w/ lil ones who do not need diet food and I work at home! :) BUT, my mom teaches exercise classes at the Y and told me a quick and easy way to burn 100 calories...and if you are able to do a few sets, you could easily work off that corn bread if you are feeling guilty! :)

Here is it: 40 jumping jacks, 30 crunches, 20 squats, 10 push ups...and since I am so out of shape, this is harder than I thought it would be! LOL! Best of luck to you on that last 15...being healthy is HARD WORK!

At least get organic corn bread mix, if possible!

I have those moments, too, but the thinking doesn't work. I can make the cornbread (my mouth waters just to think about it) for others to enjoy - like a gift. I'm the one who decides what goes into MY mouth - not impersonal gorgeous yellow stuff in a pan.

This sounds very weird, but I have decided that the fragrance of something doesn't have to lead to the taste of it. That is, when that cornbread is baking in the oven, I can be thankful that it's smelling up MY house, and tell myself, "THIS is the way I enjoy it!" In the same way, when I walk past the fudge shop, not far away from my house, I can stop, take a deep sniff, smile, and be thankful that there are no calories in the aroma!

If I step over my self-imposed line and go into the fudge shop just for a sample - or start nibbling on the cornbread - it's my own doggone fault and I'm accountable for it. But I'm not compelled to do that.
