I don't know if you have settled your request or not... but I was looking at all your replies and those cost money just to learn... so.. I was recently invited to my very first "cropping" party and I had fun. It was like a tupperware party... we cropped and cropped... she didn't pressure you into buying anything... she just left her catalogs around for you to view at your leisure. When she has another one and if you are intersted, I can invite you to come along. It's in Grand Prairie though...

Hi A.,

My name is M. Kidwell & I am an Independent Consultant for Creative Memories, which is a home-based scrapbooking company. Our company offers in-home parties where we come to your home & show our product, take orders & get you FREE product, or we can have what we call "CROPPING PARTIES." What that means is that I just come to your home & show you on a more one-on-one level the basics of scrapbooking. I would love to show you what we do or you can check out my website & see what Creative Memories is all about. www.mycmsite.com/sites/mistikidwell Hope to hear from you.

Thanks,
M. Kidwell

I'm not sure if there is one in Irving or not, but I know that in north Dallas where I am, there is a place called Recollections at Lover's and Greenville Ave. that has classes and a free workroom all week long. You may look for a website or in the phone book to see if they have another location closer to you.

Reccollections is a great scrapbook store, and it offers classes during the evenings during week as well as evening classes. I haven't been to any yet, but am looking forward to going soon. They have everything from beginner scrapbook, to a second "level" and third "level" classes. As well as card making, cake making, and so much more. They have one in NRH, Arlington, Dallas and Frisco. Theyr website is www.recollectionsonline.com

Hope that helps some!

Hi, A.!

I don't have any resources to recommend in Irving, but maybe you could check and see if any of the following are available in your area:

Recollections is a wonderful scrapbooking store that offers all types of classes, including beginner classes. They are a division of the Michaels craft store, and they have a website where you can find store locations. Try www.recollections.com or google Recollections.

Some Michaels stores also offer scrapbooking classes.

You can also learn a lot about scrapbooking by looking at magazines like Making Memories, etc. There should be issues available at any craft store or book store -- some grocery stores carry them as well.

You could also try contacting a Creative Memories consultant who might be able to point you in the right direction -- again, just google to find the site.

Good luck!
