?'S About Curb Side Luggage Claim..

With so much to check, be sure to have a credit card handy, they want to be paid for checked luggage right there at curbside. It is convenient, but if it's cold or wet it's worth going indoors and standing in line. The disney plan is a good idea if you are staying at a disney resort, many people we talked to during our disney stay told us it worked flawlessly. We had reserved a private transfer, so we claimed our own luggage and like another person recommended, stopped at a walmart on our way to disney. We stocked up on breakfast foods, bottled water, some adult beverages before we checked into our room and that saved us $ during the stay.

Oh, so worth it. I forget what airline we flew on when we went to disney, but when we pulled up to the airport we used the curbside bag check. It was like a dollar or 2 per bag - the person gives you a receipt for your bags and takes it all in through security and gets it checked onto your plane. It was SOOO worth it.

We have been to Disney several (6) times. We've driven, we've flown, we've stayed on property and off. We've checked baggage inside, outside and done the Disney Magic Express. In my opinion, the best by far is to fly, using Magic Express transportation and stay on property. This will make your trip as magical and carefree as possible, especially with children. If you haven't already booked your trip... STAY AT A DISNEY RESORT! It is SO worth the extra $$!!! You can use the Disney Magical Express and basically once you drop your luggage at the curb-side check, you don't see or touch it again until you are in your ROOM at the resort. Like... it is delivered to your room.

With the rules & regulations changing I would expect the unexpected.I don't travel never will fly.But to be absolute sure call your airline

The American Airlines curbside stand is convenient and located just beneath your departure area. If you are flying American, go to their web site to see what luggage/car seats, etc., are permitted without charge. If you aren't careful, you can rack up some heavy fees in extra baggage.

Once, as an inexperienced traveler, I got my bags to the check-in and when I arrived at my destination realized that there was no way I was ever going to be able to manage the bags to my rental car. Something to think about.

I know this isn't what you asked, but as an Orlando resident, I'd like to offer some advice...

Depending on where you're staying and if you plan to rent a car (or even if there is a hotel shuttle that will take you to a local store) you may want to consider packing lightly and purchasing a lot of what you need once you get there. Yes, some things will be more expensive at the smaller stores that are closest to the attractions... but call the hotel where you are staying and find out how close the nearest WalMart or Target is and if they have a shuttle that will take you to it. Seriously, you can pack only what you need for the first day and buy diapers, formula, even some new clothes once you get there (and stock up on snacks and drinks to take into the parks with you). The best souveniors, in my opinion, are often t-shirts, so pack less and buy some new ones once you get in town-- they are cheaper at WalMart/Target than inside the theme parks, of course, and there are plenty of tourist shops where you can get great bargains. And depending on how long you're staying, most hotels have a laundry room (or laundry service if you are going super fancy!) and you can take a lot less clothes if you plan to do a load or 2 halfway through the vacation. I'm no expert but may be able to answer some questions.... of course when you say Disney, I am assuming Disney WORLD not Disney LAND!

You can check your bags at the curb but you'll have to claim them inside on the conveyor thing like everyone else. Sometimes there can be quite a line at the curb, so peak through the windows when you get there. It may be fast to go in.

Anyway, curbside check in works just like checking in at the counter. They print your boarding passes, put the tags on your bags etc. You are, however, expected to tip the person $1 per bag you check.

These days, since they still have to check ID and print your boarding pass and everything, it doesn't save a ton of time unless the line inside is super long. With three little ones you should be arriving at the airport with lots of time to spare and can probably just go on in and check your bags. The airline counters are RIGHT by the entrance so you'd be lugging your bags an extra 50 feet or so, not through the entire airport...and with three kids and two adults, I'd check EVERYTHING but the stroller, my purse and a diaper/activity bag :-).

I flew alone with my daughter, and a family member brought us to the airport. She dropped me off at the bag check and circled around once while I took care of the luggage, (it was a stroller plus 3 pieces of huge luggage, I feel ya!) and by the time she made it back I was able to get my daughter out of the car and her carseat, so everything worked out rather nicely!

We used the Disney curb side luggage service and it was awesome. You need to pack what you will nee for the day you get there in a carry on. All other luggage is checked at you airport and you don't worry about it again. It arrives in you hotel room. On your last day at DIsney, keep a small bag for the day and your hotel picks up your luggage in your room and takes it to the airport. You can leave your carry ons in with the concierge at your hotel and pick them up on the way to your shuttle. It was awesome. Anything Disney does is first rate!
