I usually just put pork roasts in the crock pot with a quartered onion, pepper, and a bag of sauerkraut. And I make mashed potatoes.

In a crock pot. Add the raost, butter, some water (enough to almost cover 1/2 the roast) some potatoes and you can add a veggie too.......put on low and cook for about 6-9 hours......depending on size.......keep an eye on the water, the roast will add it's own juices, but you don't want it to overflow or dry out......pretty simple and it tastes great....

You can add any type of seasoning you like too, pepper, garlic, etc......just remember it's going to be on your veggies and potatoes as well.

Good Luck and enjoy.

Sometimes a pork roast can end up a little bland and so the kiddos may not enjoy it as much. Try out this great recipe that is an easy crock pot dish, the orange marmalade will give your pork a yummy twist that your kids will love.

The recipe calls for a different cut of pork than you have but yours should work out just fine with this recipe.

I just made this yesterday and everyone loved it, as usual. I just put it in the crockpot and sprinkle a packet of dry onion soup mix over the top. Add about a cup of water and a package of baby carrots. Cook on low all day. Then I serve it with mashed potatoes and dump a packet of brown gravy mix in the left over meat water, mix and boil and then you have gravy...yummy!

We do very little pork at our house--maybe some ribs or chops occasionally. So can't help with a specific recipe.

If I have something like that I bought on sale, and not too sure of ways to cook it, or just looking for something different to do with the the 'same old, same old'...I go to allrecipes.com or cooks.com. Both have a search window, you can enter the item (ie: rib end boneless pork roast, cube steaks, chicken legs, etc, etc.) and it will bring up several pages of recipes using that meat.

These sites have been a lifesaver for me!
