We are planning an evening out for 3 couples this weekend, my husband has chosen Lalos. We've never been. He read online food reviews, but wanted to see if anyone on this board had been there. We will be a loud bunch, so I need to make sure it's not a quiet, romantic place!!! Thanks!

I love Lalos! It's not a quiet, romantic place so you should be good. Their margaritas are good (HUGE though- we call them bathtub margaritas). Their chimichangas are yummy. It's better then most of the other Mexican places in Schaumburg. Have fun!
It's perfect for you. It is my all-time favorite Mexican restaurant in the suburbs. I go there over and over and I've never had a bad meal. I've even had office parties there and everybody always enjoys the food and has a good time. It's always jam packed so be prepared for that. Have fun!
I'm not a fan of Lalo's. Been there a few times over the years, and each time I'm disappointed. The drinks and ambiance are good, though, for the kind of crowd you will have.
I recommend La Hacienda de Roselle. It's a smaller, family owned restaurant in a strip mall off Irving Park Road, about 2 or 3 miles from Lalo's. It isn't fancy or as big as Lalo's, but the drinks are great, food is tons better, and you can laugh and have fun. We love it!
