I need recommendations for a portable outdoor grill that would cost somewhere around $100-150. Also, which kind of grill would you recommend, charcoal or gas burner, in terms of food taste and conveniency? I dont really need a very large cooking area on the grill. Thank you for your suggestions.

What can I do next?

Depending on where you're planning on using it, I'd recommend propane. Food will taste better over charcoal, however, charcoal takes a long time to heat up. You have to dispose of the charcoal and clean up is more difficult.

We have a Road Trip party grill by Coleman that we absolutely love for picnicing and camping. It uses the small bottles of propane. It may be too small for what your looking for, it only costs $45 to $50.

I would definitely recommend getting a gas grill. Not sure if it matters what brand. But gas is so easy, just turn it on and warm for a couple minutes, then start cooking. It is just like using your kitchen appliances and meat doesn't taste charcoaly. We keep ours on our back patio and use it nearly every day- year round.

We have had A LOT of BBQ's...and our latest is the BEST! We had a good ol charcol Weber for a very long time and loved it (completly different flavor), but when the kiddo came and time became important, we traded her in for a gas. We got a great big gas BBQ as a wedding gift and it was just a little big. So a year later we bought this new Weber propane one. It is a Weber Q220, it folds up and is VERY portable. It is smaller, but plenty big to do a turkey or 2 chickens...or whatever! It heats perfectly everytime and is just an awsome BBQ. It was around $180 out the door I think, but worth every penny!

You have to get a Weber! We do outdoor camping every other weekend and this grill has perfected many meals! My husband bbqs at home and sometimes burns meals, but has yet to fail on the Weber! We use propane because it is easier clean up and safer since you aren't dealing with hot coals. Our Weber is small so we put it on a portable table. I don't think we spent more than $50 on it.

We have a weber 220. I think it is that price range. We live in a condo and have a small patio. This is perfect for grilling. We take it when we tailgate and to the beach. Very easy to use. I perfer gas as I can press a button, it starts and when I am done, I turn it off and in 20 minutes it is cool.

Good luck on your search.
