HI- I am trying to get information and research immunizations. I have 3 children that have been fully vaccinated - but am in the process of looking into discontinuing any further immunizations. my youngest is 20 mos old. The last immunizations he recieved the MMR was one of them- both my 5 yr old and my 20 mos old had them at the same time- within 6 days they both came down with the same symptoms..severe severe coughing, low grade fever....I just want to know are these reactions considered "normal" or is there such thing as a "normal" reations? Are all the reactions "adverse" and how do you make this claim? (that it is an adverse reaction and NOT a "normal " reaction) Then- to go a step further- In GA , I think the only way to be exempt from immunizations is to get a religious exemption form from the schools (some states have a medical one- does GA?) and if that is the only way for my children to be exempt from any further immunizations - how do I get around this without lying?.....to my knowledge- it is NOT against my religion to have immunizations (I am Methodist) I don't want them to have any more vaccinATIONS, but I dont' want to have to lie about it either....has any one else struggled with this decision? My oldest has hypersensitvity issues (possible sensory problems) food allergies and medicine sensitivities- could he be exempt because of his hypersensitive nature?) so far my other two do not have these problems-although my 3rd son does have some of the same tendencies as my oldest)
Thanks for your info in advance

My daughter is a Chiropractor and has done years of research on the adverse effects of vaccination. Unfortunately she has discovered that the bad side effects outweigh the good of the vaccinations. She believes that the symptoms you describe can be directly correlated to the mercury in the vaccinations. Amazingly enough, the vaccinations we use here in the US have been banned in many other countries.

Recently here in Georgia they the first confirmed connection between autism and vaccination. The family received compensation from the government for it.

There are several good articles about this--here is one that I got a lot of info from--hope it helps you make a decision!

You can use the religious exemption in GA. I know several folks who do this. I too am holding off on the MMR until my daughter is two years old and my son may never get any vaccines.

Best of luck to you.

I'm sure you dont want to here this, but it is possible that the sickness was not related, but an isolated occurence. Trust me, I do not trust these vaccinations either. I waited an extra 6 months befor I took my son for his vaccinations, because I dont trust them. I am sure a lot of mothers can agree, it just adds up with some real funky numbers. But if you really want to do without them, you can consider the K-12 program that is a homebased school program. The YMCA offers a lot of solutions that help give the kids interaction with other kids. Just an idea. Good luck. I hope we can find a solution to this vaccine issue. I just prayed. I prayed hard that God protected my child from any negative effects of the vaccination. I got him vaccinated.

ok, about whether or not you should immunize, that is up to you. Me, I stay away from them altogether. There are just too many cases of kids having adverse reactions. I did immunize my middle child. He had a very high fever the night he got his shots. He is deaf. Ok, I don't know if that's related or not, but you can bet I'm not taking any chances. I don't know anyone with polio, but I have heard hundreds of people say that there kids suffered because of recieving immunizations.
But I will tell you how I look at the religious exemption. OK, is it my religion to do what I think is best for my kids, even when the goverment dissaproves? of course. Is it my religion to look out for my kids to the best of my ability? of course. So my letter read something like this: Please be advised that due to religious reasons my children are not immunizied nor will they be. Thank you. you don't have to go into a long story. I think you will find more often that you think, the people reading the letter really don't care as much as you think they do. They know we aren't in jeprordy of an outbreak, and if we are, it's only YOUR child that will be affected. if these shots work so well, then how can your child affect children that are supposed to be protected by these shots? so my experience has been they could care very little if you do or don't. One director at a mothers morning out even said "I don't blame you, I don't immunize my kids either!" so do what you think is right for you, of course, but you don't have to look at as a Methodist thing. What you believe about how you are supposed to raise your kids is actually your religion. At least that's what I believe.

Hello! I personally vaccinate my kids but wanted you to know that I have a friend at my church who does not vaccinate and her kids are in public school. I did not know you could do that. She said you can. He husband is a chiropractor and he believes they are harmful. They have instructed their kids to tell kids that "they have all the shots they need" I guess my point is that it can be done. I think she does the medical excuse, as I don't think they would lie as well. They are very natural in terms of what they feed the kids, medicines, etc. I know there can be a downside (all 4 of her kids got chicken pox this past year) but they are done with that now and we all got it as kids? So, just wanted to reassure you that yes, it can be done. You will hear a lot of flack about this, so just stick to your guns. My friend does not engage much with people when they question her. She just has a little "we have all the shots we need" and does not argue, as it makes others doubt themselves. She is not out crusading against vaccines, just she made a choice and does what she thinks is best for her family. I hope this helps you. Also helps to find a doctor who will support you.
Have a great day.
