hey everyone, thanks so much for your responses to my request. i sent the information to my friend and hopefully, she'll find something that works for her. her doggie was just recently in surgery for cancer again and i think she wants a place that will give her a little tlc. thanks again.
Hi, There are two places in Bloomingdale - one on Schick called Tails-a Waggin and the other on Glen Ellyn Raod called Pied Piper. By the way I own my own pet sitting company called Wipe Your Paws. Please have your friend call me should she need any pet sitting/dog walking services. I live in Carol Stream. There is a place in Downers Grove called the Dog Spot. They do bording, daycare and grooming. It's a nice place. They do a great job on my dog.

I asked for pet boarding near me, in Elgin, a while ago and I got this response recently:

I took my dog to a place in Hampshire on Route 20 (head west) called Kountry Kennels recently for my wedding - they were great. We paid extra to have someone play with him one on one, so for Thursday night, all day & night Friday, and Saturday morning, it cost like $80. I know it's probably more than you're looking to spend, but we also paid to have his nails trimmed and rounded. He came home smelling great and just recently started to "smell" - that was 3 weeks ago. They are the only kennel in IL accredited by the ABKA (American Boarding & Kennel Association).
We've been taking our dogs to Kountry Kennels in Hampshire for about 6 years. They are way overpriced but I know they care for the dogs well. If you are willing to pay a small fortune for every vacation, I recommend them. To give you an idea, we boarded our dogs about a month ago from Friday through Monday and it was nearly $500. Granted we get them "camp" every day, wooly beds for them to lay on, some extra treats, and have them groomed, but it's still pretty darned pricey.
