Random Question #2: Arm Hair Removal...

Do you shave or otherwise remove the hair from your arms? I have a friend, Enid, who shaves her arms. None of my other friends do so, nor do any members of my family or my husband's family. Aside from professional athletes, I cannot think of anyone, besides Enid, who does so. She says she does it because her arm hair is rather dark and that she just shaves them every day or two just as if they were her legs. I am not beauty conscious, she is, so maybe it is common in "beauty circles"...so to speak. What do you think? Is this uncommon? I certainly see nothing wrong with it, I am just curious if this is a common practice. Enid can't be the only one!

What can I do next?

My 17 year old daughter uses a trimmer on her arms. Then, she bleaches the remaining hair...because it is quite dark. Got that from her Dad, because i'm a red-head with blond arm & leg hair! :) So yes, people do remove thick/dark arm hair. Probably just not something most advertise.

Hmmmm.... not sure if people do.
I don't, but my hair is pretty fine and light in color so it's not very noticeable. Thank goodness--I'd hate to have something else to shave!

I don't know anyone who shaves their arms... although I will say that I know a few ladies who should think about it! LOL

my arms are very hairy, manly....yuck!

my niece is also cursed with this. When she was about 16, she began using the trimmer on hers. She looks soooo much better! She keeps the hair, just trims the length & it's definitely more feminine.

Periodically, I do mine....thanks to her wonderful idea! & I really prefer the buzzed look. Oh, & when I say manly......I mean: thick, long arm hair!

My sister in law has her arms waxed also her legs. .. She had blond arm hair, but feels like it was really thick..

I used to bleach mine, because it was so dark, but now that I am older, It has thinned out..

In Jr. High, some of the girls did this, but I never saw the point, and haven't seen anyone since that does it.

When I was in high school (4 years ago) , all my friends started shaving their arms, I guess it was the thing to do. I started shaving mine as well, and have been doing it ever since. My arm hair is not thick or dark, I just like the feeling of smooth arms. On the plus side it only needs to be shaved like twice a month! Im hearing of alot of girls doing this nowadays.

I have gotten rid of my arm hair for about 13 years...maybe more. I have waxed them, shaved them and naired them. The easiest is to shave them, but waxing leaves your arms hairless for longer. To me, it just looks better when I shave them. Im not in any "beauty circles" that im aware of. No biggie =)
