Private Schools - Norfolk,VA

Why are you looking into private school? I'm just curious. I'm also a military mom and I thought about private school and it's very expensive. My son goes to a great public school (Northern Shores Elem in Suffolk) and kindergarten there is a lot different then when I remember. He has homework every night, spelling tests, goes to library, art, gym, computers and music on different days of the week, etc. He couldn't read before school started and just about after 3 months there, now he can. Research your public school first before you spend the money. If you have any questions or anything, just ask :)

Ghent Montesorri in downtown Norfolk and Montesorri Academy in Chesapeake are both good and have a mix of folks. Not sure where you are located. Kindergarten in a tough decision, my son is in 1st grade now. Good luck!

There is a private school called Parkdale off Thole in Norfolk. That may be a good school.

Call any public schools in the area where you live, they may have a suggestion.

I went to St.Pius X Catholic school off of Little Creek Rd when I was growing up in Norfolk and I know that a friend of mine has her little girl in preschool there. Hope this helps.
