Hi Mamas! Wondering what some good Prenatal Exercise videos there are out there. I was thinking yoga but maybe that isn't what I need. I started this pregnancy about 15 lbs heavier than my last one. I am not trying to diet, I want my baby to be healthy but I want to keep the amount of baby weight I get to keep with me down some.

What can I do next?

Denise Austen has a nice one called Fit and Firm Pregnancy. It is newer (no leg warmers) and has 3 20-minute workouts and a post-partum workout that is shorter I think. They have women in each stage of pregnancy doing the exercises. I wasn't able to keep up with it since my kids think exercise means tripping mommy in the living room.

I have been doing yoga through my pregnancy too. It is a great calorie burner and the strechting feels wonderful. I also walk a bit too, but I've had a lot of hip pain so that gets a little uncomfortable. I would ask you doctor if they could work with you on a nutrition plan or refer to a dietician that can help you out too!

I did yoga, elliptical machine and lots of walking. My Dr. thought that all three were great things to do, she just said to make sure to watch my heart rate with the elliptical and walking as she didn't want me to elevate it over 165.

I liked Leisa Hart's FitMama - Prenatal Workout. You should see if your local library has some so you can preview them before you invest any money.

Are you just starting to workout? If so, I'd start slow with regular walking and work you way up to some weight lifting (you don't have to go heavy if you're just starting).

If you're continuining - your regular exercise routine is fine to continue. Just modify as your body requires.

I've tried Denise Austin Prenatal Workouts. It was simple and she had different stages of your pregnancy to help you with a workout. Listen to your body as well doing any of the workouts.

I don't know of any videos but I did prenatal Pilates and I loved it! I learned a lot that I wish I had done it with my 1st pregnancy. I did Pilates with my 2nd and so we just did exercises to help strengthen my body to help with the recovery and other aspects.
