I know the only real way to know if you are pregnant is to get the test.. my question is .. Can you tell you are pregnant within the first few days of conceiving? I recently had my IUD taken out on thursday, my husband and I had sex the night it was taken out, I did take a birth control pill the same day I got my iud taken out as instructed by my doctor. The next morning I had some cramping and havent had any since, My husband thinks I am crazy but I feel like I am feeling the way I did during my first pregnancy. Bloating after eating a big meal, extremely hot while sleeping and increased tiredness. could this just be me freaking myself out? Have any of you had any experiences similar to this? Please help! thanks

What can I do next?

Implantation doesn't even happen for 7-10 days AFTER ovulation. There is no way you would be experiencing pregnancy symptoms. You would not have enough HCG hormone in your body.

This is more likely the result of removing the IUD and using a different birth control. Taking out hormones and adding new ones, will do a number on your body. The likelihood you are pregnant from this, is so low.

I think you may be freaking yourself out... And it's also possible that the 'symptoms' you are feeling are from the switches in birth control.

I would relax for a week or two, then go buy some first response tests, and take one a week until your period arrives.

You could ovulate very soon after getting your IUD out. So yes there is a chance you have already conceived or will conceive in the next few weeks. However they way you body works is like this....You ovulate, the egg is fertilized. Then it has to continue to travel down your tube into your uterus and then implant. This takes around a week. Some a little faster (maybe as fast as 5 days) some longer (more like 7 to 10 days) It is only after the egg implants that your body starts releasing the HCG hormone. And it takes around 7 days after that for you to have enough HCG to get a positive on a pregnancy test. So you could be pregnant but you aren't making the hormones yet so any unusual things happening to your body are probably due to the IUD removal or that bc pill.

I think its the hormone change in your body. I had this when my IUD was taken out.

I tried to get pregnant with my daughter for a year and my son for 2 years. I swore everymonth I felt pregnant. I swore my body was giving me signs. Of course, it generally never was - only twice in those 3 years. I think those were the months I didn't "feel" pregnant too!

I think we can talk ourselves into feeling pregnant and having signs where signs don't exist. I agree it is probably hormones due to having the IUD out. Unfortunaltey all you can do is wait.

Good luck.
