I'd say maybe, but if you are having anything done at any medical offices THEY BETTER TEST YOU! Usually there is not a charge, if you are there for something else!
My period is seven days late and i have taken two pregnancy tests and they both said negative, could i still be pregnant?also i have been having some small twinging cramps. not normal period cramps just very light dull cramps? what could this mean?
Thank you so much for all of your responses, this has really helped me out.

I don't know about the cramping - that sounds more like menstrual to me, but perhaps some people have this in beginning pregnancy.
Yes, you could still be pregnant. With my first, I took a test when I was 2 weeks late, and it was negative. But I was still pregnant! This early (despite what the box says!) it's still hard sometimes. Give it a week and try again.
Hi, I have 4 kiddos. With all 4 pregnancies I've had to be over 6 weeks pregnant before I got positive readings on the drugstore pee stick tests. I guess my hormone levels have been too low for it to show up. Good luck!
Its possible. Go to your OB to have a test done there to be sure. That is really the only way you will know for sure.
You could be pregnant even though you took a pregnancy test and it was negative. With my son, I took 3 tests. One was positive, 2 were negative. I went to the doctor where the test was NEGATIVE! My doctor was going to give me a blood test (the most accurate test) when the nurse reran the test. That one was positive. Your hormone levels may be very low, so the tests are negative. Go see your doctor and have them run the test for you. If it comes back negative, ask to have a blood test run.
This happened to me once and I had all the symptoms of being pregnant except for the positive test. It turned out that I had a cyst, which is common. I had severe cramps eventually and thought I was having a miscarriage. My doctor said that I had had a cyst and that it had ruptured, but I was never pregnant. You might be pregnant, but the tests are pretty good once you've truly missed your period. If you can afford to go the doctor, then make an appointment. Otherwise, wait a few weeks to see what happens and then make an appointment if necessary. Also, make sure you take the test for the first time after you wake up. Your urine is more concentrated then.
I don't want to be a "negative" in a sea of happy responses, but.......your period may just be late due to stress of the Season. I do; however, agree with the others & recommend a visit to your GYN as soon as you can get in. I'd just hate for you to get your hopes up & then be depressed esp. at this joyous time of year! I do wish you the best in whatever the outcome!! Remember, it's all in God's Plan!!
Take Care & God's Peace~

With my first pregnancy I missed my period and was anxious to test. I tested the day of missed period and it was negative. I tested a week later and it was negative. I tested 16 days late and finally got the positive. In the mean time I kept feeling a little cramping and thought for sure it was the start of my cycle. It never came and left me wondering. I asked my doctor about it once I had a confirmation and she said that urine tests are testing for HcG and that some women just don't have that high of a level yet for the test to detect it yet. Most HPT are sensitive enough to pick up at 25 but there is enough room for someone to have the hormone present because they are indeed pregnant but not enough hormone to indicate it. The concentration of your urine when you test can also be a factor in this. If you have had a lot to drink, your urine will be more dilute and so the hormones won't be strong enough. That is why many tests will recommend testing first thing in the morning.
I would see a doctor to get a more definitive answer. Make sure you get a blood test because the urine tests in a clinic aren't going to be much better than at home. In the mean time, treat yourself as if you are pregnant. Begin prenatal vitamins if you aren't already taking them. And good luck. I hope you get an answer soon. I know it can be difficult not knowing. I have been there myself.
GO TO THE DOCTOR!!!!! last time that happened to me i had a tubal pregnancy and i almost died. i ignored all the signs and just went by the tests, they all came out negative and yet i had a cramping sensation and the cramps just got worst and i ended up being 8 weeks pregnant and in tremendous pain overnight and could hardly walk, please go to your doctor today!!!!!
Of course it is possible that you are. Been there. However you can go to the Dr. he can check you and this is important also. Please do it you both of you.
Well I don't want to get your hopes up, but a friend of mine had the same thing with her first pregnancy. All tests kept showing up negative, her OB even gave her some hormone to take to get her to have her period, but 10 weeks later they decided to do an ultrasound and sure enough she was almost 12 weeks pregnant.. So yes, there could be a chance.. Good luck..
If you have a late ovulation then it could take longer for the test to be positive. You might want to give it a few more days and then try. If you start having any real pain you should definitely see your doctor right away. It could also be an ovarian cyst. My period was once 10 days late, I thought I was pg, the test was neg, then finally I started and it turned out I had a cyst that was pumping out progesterone keeping me from starting. Your body can do all sorts of weird things! Try not to worry, see a doc if you're nervous or not feeling well, otherwise test again in a few days. Good luck!
I have 2 kids. My first pregnancy test with both ids was negative. My hcg hormone was too low to detect. I had to be 6-8 weeks preg. before I had a positive pee stick test.
Good luck !
Hi E.
Have you been on antibiotics? It may not happen to everyone but I know sometimes antibiotics will throw your period off. That has happened to me in the past.
Wishing you&your husband the best gift!!! Hope you are preggo.
Happy Holidays.
E.: I would get a test at the doctor office. I too had this happen with my first pregnancy. I hadn't been feeling well and "thought" I may be pregnant. I took THREE tests and all negative but something just told me I was. I had a blood test done and sure enough I was pregnant. You just never know! Good luck. tac
Hi E.,
The best and most accurate way is to get a blood test. You could be pregnant or just late. Sometimes when I was hoping to be preg I would make my period late by hoping too much. I hope you are expecting. It is hard to wait and get a neg result.

SAHM of two cheeky boys, and a great husband.
Take a deep breath. Relax. Wait a few days. Retest. If your still getting negatives and still haven't started your period in another week then maybe you should call your doctor to find out what is going on. I personally didn't have any negative tests but on the first one I took the line was so feint that it was almost impossible to tell. I took another test a few days later and bingo. These tests look for hormones in your body and if you haven't been pregnant long enough than you might not have enough hormones to test for. For sure, follow the advice on the box and test in the AM with your first pee. More hormones in that bunch.
I did have some mild cramping and such from pretty well the beginning of my pregnancy so I can't say it's not possible.
I'll repeat my best advise for you, relax. If you are pregnant this will be good for you. If you're not and still trying then relaxing is the best way to help your body conceive and do its work.
Good Luck! I hope you get the best Christmas present of all this year!

You could possibly be pregnant but you may want to go to the doctor to check for sure. It might be stress. When my husband and I were trying to get pregnant there were several months where I thought I could be due to either being nausious or having pains and turned out I wasn't. If you aren't then really count the days from the start of your period if you do end up having it. Sometimes if you don't clock it just right it won't happen. With me, Beginning the 14th thru 17th day after the start of my period is when I was most fertile. Plus you try to make sure you aren't stressing about it. This could also throw things way off. I hope you are and will pray for you.
E.,
I would call your gynecologist and make an appointment. They can do a blood test to check for pregnancy.

pregnacy test are mostly always accrute. unless your using the really cheap kind that could be defected or something like that.i reccomened that you go to a doctor to make sure its not something else.and if you are pregnant to get prenatal care asap. good luck girl i hope its what your wishing for.
The OB/Gyn can do a blood test. Good luck!
Hi E.,
Well the best thing to do is go to the doctor esp. if this is out of the norm esp if you are feeling any kind of pain. If you haven't been in awhile well it might just be a good time to go. I wish you the best.
The last time I was pregnant, the test showed up positive before my period was even late. My breasts too were tender before I was even late. Maybe you just aren't making enough of the hormone the tests measure. I used to like EPT. Good luck!
You should go an have a blood test done to be absolutely sure about being pregnant.
