We just bought the Gerber ones that they sell at Target and Wal-Mart.
Did not use the plastic covers.
They work pretty well.

Hi Everyone ~ I am wondering if anyone knows about some potty training pants (like the thick panty type for girls) that have like a plastic coating on the outside so that the clothes do not get wet? Do they make something like that or do I just buy the normal thicker panties and deal with wet clothes until my daughter gets the hang of going potty on the toilet. She doesn't like to wear a diaper anymore. She just turned 2 and will sit on the toilet, but has never actually gone potty in the toilet. I want to get the training pants and then try to stay home for a whole weekend and take her potty every 10 or 15 minutes so that she gets the hang of going on the toilet.....anyone have some potty training pants that they just couldn't live without? Where did you get them? How much were they and do you think it was worth the price?
Thanks in advance ~

Hmm I have not heard of those but I believe that Pull-ups are the closest to that..maybe they will help your daughter potty train faster since she wouldn't want the diaper-ish feeling? Here are some other potty training tips you may be interested in checking out:

Good luck!
We got pull ups but it didn't matter much she just pulled them off. I do have a potty training idea though. Have you ever noticed how when you put your kids feet in warm water they usually go pee? At least my daughter does, and apparently so does my nephew. My sister put him on the potty then put his feet in warm water, and boom! he peed in the potty! Now he understands what the potty is for. Genius!
I really liked the Potty Patty/Potty Scotty -- I tried those and the Gerber training pants. The Potty Pattys have a soft material, all-in-one style and nice non-PVC pull-on covers. You can find them online at http://www.pottypatty.com/
3 for $24.95 for the waterproof all-in-ones
1 for $7.95 for the waterproof pull-on cover
3 for $12.95 for the cotton training pants
1 for $15.95 for an overnight training pant.
They do sell plastic covers seperately... you could put those on outside the cloth trainers. Then graduate her out of them, then try for just regular chonies.
