My daughter did that as well. She would actually throw up if I coaxed her to take an extra bite. So even though she was a very small baby I soon learned not to try to get more in her. Once she gagged, the meal was over.

check with the ped. just to be sure. There is usually no question that a baby has reflux because the spit up is almost CONSTANT and you have a pretty crabby baby all of the time. Does she eat really fast? Have you ever eaten too much too fast and feel like throwing up afterward? That's what it sounds like to me, but like I said--make sure you double check it with the DR.

Maybe not as much reflux as she is over full and the food is pushing it's way back up?? I'd check with her DR regardless in order to figure it out for sure.

Good luck!

the easy route would be going to the chiropractor. secondly i'd look at diet some you dont mention if she is breastmilk or formula fed. what has changed in her diet since she has been doing it?

My 16 month who has always had reflux will gag if she gets too full or her stomach gets empty.I'd be safe than sorry and ask the ped about it.does certain food trigger her to throw up? Mya's biggest trigger is chocolate.

Of course you should contact your child's pediatrician. It will alleviate your worries and, more importantly ,figure out what is leading to your daughter's gagging after eating.

Has your child been checked by a Chiropractor? If no, I would say it is simply a cervical (neck) misaligment. When a child is born, the birth process puts a tremendous amount of pressure on the spinal cord. The spine is twisted into various positions and this leads to a lot of strain on the cord, resulting in outward problems. I am a Chiropractor and what you are describing is classic. Adjustments on a child are very gentle and painless. Often times, children may not even know they are being adjusted. It is the very least invasive option you can try! Chiropractic can help children with so many other issues to.. from colic, ear infections, epilepsy, reflux, its endless. Best of luck to you!
