Does anyone use a computer anymore? Besides me....LOL I find that most people use their phone for their internet stuff. I prefer a computer because it's easier to type on it than trying to text using a phone. I'm not that talented. LOL Just curious as to how many still use a computer/laptop.
WOW! I didn't realize so many still use laptops and main computers. Whenever I'm on facebook, it seems like every contact I have does a 'mobile upload'. LOL I can't text all that fast at all, and in fact, I don't really like it. It's tideous to me. LOL But it just seemed like everyone I know used their phones for internet. Ha ha ha....glad some of ya'll still use the main computer and I'm not the lonely one out here doing that. Ha! Have a great weekend ya'll!

I don't have a "smart" phone... I use a computer for on-line stuff. Sorry but I still think phones are for calling and talking to people not texting or any of those other things... although I have been forced to learn to text since one of my hubby's clients does text his work to him & wants text back - hubby refuses to text so I get to.

I have a smartphone and I use it all the time. I also have a computer, which I am on now to type this message. I love my phone to get my email messages when I am away from the computer and I love my computer for the keyboard and the big screen. I don't have texting on my phone plan but I have an unlimited data plan. I couldn't be without either of them.

I use a laptop, it sits on the kitchen table. Don't have a data plan and don't see a need to pay the extra money. Can't stand texting either.
ETA: funny, I don't have facebook either, I'm definitely still in the dark ages LOL.

I have a desktop in my home office. My work laptop can go anywhere (with the wireless card or connect at home) although I hard wire it at home if I have to pull extra large reports. I have a Droid (personal use) and a Blackberry (for work) and they both of course have internet capability, I have my personal e-mails forwarded to my Droid.
My daughter has a Dell laptop, iPad and an iPhone....they can all go anywhere.
I have two "all in one machines" set up in my home office and it's amazing that I still use the fax as much as I do.

Girl don't get me started on this! I still us a computer. I've never had internet on my phone and will hold off as long as I'm at home. I like to leave the house with the info I need already written down, like phone numbers of places I'm going to, directions and addresses. I hate relying on gadgets. Batteries run out, things get lost or misplaced or worse, stolen. My worst fear is being stranded somewhere and not having a way to get home because my GPS ran out of juice or my cell phone can't get a connection.
I think its rude to be staring at your phone while I'm talking to someone, so if I'm not doing it to you, you don't do it to me. I can't tell you how many playdate moms I meet up with stare at their phones while we are trying to chat. So much for adult conversations when we get together. None of us are stock brokers, none of us are cutting billion dollar deals, none of us are about to pass legislation...most of the time we stay at home and complain about our kids. What in the world do they need to be checking their phone for every minute? For that next picture of some cute kitten hanging from a tree and a funny caption under it????
Whew, had to get that off my chest. Sorry!

I use both.
I use my computer when I'm on here because of the typing thing like you mentioned, plus this site and some others are hard to read on the phone.
I read most of my email on my phone tho.

I use my laptop. I like my iPhone for directions or looking something up quickly when I am out. I never use my phone while driving I keep it in my purse and pull over if I need it. I also rarely text, I am old school where it is faster to just talk to someone directly.

Right now I am at work so I am on my netbook.

My ex had our Internet shut off for 5 months (divorce wars, he also didn't pay our electrical, heat, or water bills though court ordered), and destroyed our wireless router. I've got Internet back (yay!!!) but as those of you who know how much I depend on spell check may have notice my awful spelling these past few months, my main source has been my phone :P
Icky.
I need a keyboard.

We have an all-in-one pc, a laptop, an iPad, and my hubby's iPhone. I prefer the pc when I need to type something that will be more than a few sentences. If I need to use Microsoft Office, I use the pc, as the iPad doesn't have those programs.
My phone can do email, texts, Facebook & not much else.

For real internet use or documents or typing stuff, my laptop. Its a smaller one. I like real keys!
I have internet on my smartphone and like to scan emails form all my bazillion account there, but prefer answering them (unless a quick reply is all that is needed) from my laptop.
I got an ipad for Mothers day. An extravagant toy really and I have never owned an "i" anything. its easy to type on but still just a toy and way to check Facebook, email, play games, etc where there is an internet connection.
I am all hooked up with the electronic toys I guess. I have my laptop with internet when near connections. I have my ipad now too when near connections. I have my smartphone with internet always. I have a Zune mp3 (Microsofts version of a ipod), plus an older Ereader (does not go wireless or online, needs to be wired to my laptop to get books onto it). My hubby likes to buy these techy toys for me for gifts!
