Does anyone know of any fun playgroups in the Plainview area?
a friend of mine just joined a group that does mall-walking/exercise at the source mall. i think it's called "stroller strides". there is also "once upon a treetop" right there in plainview. we were there for a party, and i can't wait to go back. i think they are a bit pricey, but you may meet some local moms.
Once upon a treetop is great. the old 'little playmates' with Sharon is held there. also, matss in syosset is a great place for playgroups too. orly's treehouse is in westbury and is also an option.
check out Once Upon A Treetop over behind the Holiday Inn on the expressway...my kids had a ball there and you can meet lots of people!
My friend took me to this place the other day, it's actually in Westbury but I live in Plainview and it took me 5 minutes to get there. It's called Orly's Treehouse..it is so awesome! The staff is so friendly and the indoor playground is perfect for children under 7. I definitely reccommend visiting Orly's!!

You might want to look into MY GYM, I've included their address and phone. My session just ended actually today and my daughter loved it. 18 months is a perfect age to join, lots for the kids to do and the guys who run it are great.
