Are there parents out there looking for; play dates for their special needs child? resources? what to do if......
I have a 6 yr old son with Asperger's and was looking for playdates and I found a few groups on meetup.com. I had heard of it a few times but I thought it was a dating website - LOL. Check it out!
If they have Down syndrome, we have an excellent support group and we do play dates and have some amazing families involved. Email me if you want more info. :)
(We have also invited a couple moms to bring their child with more rare diagnosis who just don't have any support in the area so let me know if that is the case as well.)
Why not go to www.tacanow.org and join the tacausa yahoo group. You don't say what special needs your child has but if it is related to autism at all, this is an excellent support group with way too many members and a chapter in Long Beach!
When you are part of the yahoo group, you could send out an email asking for this.
