Play Places for a 9 Month Old

Don't know if you have been to Willow Bend mall, but they have a great children's play area and it's good for little one's that aren't walking just yet (and FREE! :) bonus). I have a 9mo also and would love to hear any of the good ideas that you receive. If you are able to forward them to me it would be appreciated! Thank you and good luck! Angela

Tots Towne in Allen (NW shopping plaza at McDermott and I-75) is a great place to take younger kids to play. It is a retail store that sells Little Tikes brand goods, but they have a very clean, age-appropriate play area for kids and they welcome moms to bring them in to play, whether you are looking at making a purchase or not.

I have a 10 month old and we love to do the following activities:

Tots Towne in Allen on McDermott. This is a Little Tikes toy store with a play area where kids can "sample" the toys. There is a small fee for "play only" but most of the toys are age appropriate for your little one.

We also like the soft play area at Willowbend mall. It is very appropriate for little ones but can get very busy.

If you are looking for structured play -try Gymboree Play and Music in Plano. Gymbo is one of my kids favorite characters.

I noticed that you live in Allen. I am planning to return to work soon and will need friends for my little one. I am happy to arrange some play dates with you if you like.

I also have a 2 year old. Both of my kiddos are boys. E-mail me back if you would like to meet at the park, soft play area or Tots Towne.

Allen also has lots of really nice and clean parks. We love to visit Story Park (Malone and Main), Lost Creek (off Angel Parkway), Bethany Lakes and Bethany Ridge (both near Allen Heights and Bethany) and Suncreek (near Bethany and Alma) parks. All these parks are quiet, clean and have playgrounds for little ones and infant swings. Hope this helps!!!

Long drive, but Galleria in Dallas outside the entrance to Nordstrum is clean because it is new. But I think Willow Bend is fine too. Just wash hands and maybe have a pacifier to keep mouth occupied.
