there's also a place called playcafe in oakland hills, i like that better than tumble & tea, it's much cleaner in my opinion. I don't know one in SF area though.
"The Jungle" is like a huge (3 "story") hampster trail. There is one in the San Jose area and one in the Concord area. Ideally, it is great for the 3-12 range, but it also has a tiny-tot area for the 1-2 year olds. It has rope nets to climb, bouncy houses, ball pits to jump in, slides to go down and tubes to climb through. It also has an arcade and a restaurant / cafe for the adults to park themselves while the kids play. There is no charge for adults, and it is about $7 for each kid, but there is no time limit. Kids and adults they came with get matching bracelets (they even give a bracelet for infants. It is put on stroller or car seat.) My 4 year old has adored this place for the last year.
I have been to Play Cafe in Oakland, but my daughter pretty much lost interest in that at about 2.5 years old.

Hi,
Safari Run in San Mateo is a great place for kids to go play. They have an upstairs area for parents/care givers to sit (comfortable chairs, computers, television, etc.). My boys absolutely love it. www.safarirun.com
Also there is a place in Pleasanton called Super Franks that is kind of like an upscale Chuck E Cheese (lots of healthy food options in the restaurant area), plus they have an indoor mini-golf. www.superfranks.com
A great website for Bay Area activities is www.bayareakidsfun.com.
Enjoy! Jen
