Hi Moms,

I wanted to see if anyone has taken their kids to a place called Planet Pizza in Plano. I am thinking that's where we want to have our son's first birthday party. Does anyone have any good or bad things to say about it. We wanted a place where everyone could have a good time (some of the kids are a little older than he is.....up to age 10) but we don't want it to be too overwhelming for a 1 year old. Thanks a lot.

We LOVE Planet Pizza. My kids beg to go every time we drive by. However, we did it for my son's 4th birthday. My 2 year old loved it too but a few of the other 2 year olds were afraid of all the rides. There is not much for a 1 year old to do. It really is for 3-6 or 7 year olds, I think. But it is LOTS of fun.

T., yes I have taken my daughter to Planet Pizza and she loves it. As a matter of fact, I had her birthday party there and the kids that came ended up having their parties there also (I brought that place a lot of business). It's really cool with the inside amusement rides and it also has the big jungle gym section. I think you will find that everyone will have a great time. I had no problems. My party assistant was on top of everything. If you have the party there let me know how it went.

Hi T.!

This is so funny that you asked this question because I just walked in the door from a party at Planet Pizza. My experience there was terrible today. The whole place was dirty and smelly and the rides and games are so old and they look so unsafe. I wouldnt let my kids play in the balls or tunnels because it was nasty and I didnt feel safe letting them play. Everyone that worked there was not over the age of 16 and they were so rude! I just dont recommend that place to anyone and I will never take my kids there again. I hope i could be of help and I am sorry for the bad news. Let me know where you ended up having the party. Good Luck!

I have 3 small children. I went to a party there last year. I was very disappointed. It did not seem very well thought out for younger kids.
It is very chaotic and children can run out the electric doors and into the parking lot if parents are not careful. The only real sitting for parents to watch their kids play is where they serve food.
We ended up leaving early because the games and rides were a little advanced for my kids. I am not sure what age range they were targeting.
To top it off, the food was not very good either.
If I were to have a party for my kids, I would take them to the new Gatti Town in Frisco. It was exciting for all of my kids. Lots to do with kids of all ages and lots of food choices!
Hope this helps.

My son and his best friend love it. Although I should warn you that it can get very busy on the weekends. This always makes me nervous . . . especially when I'm trying to keep track of a lot of kids. The pizza's decent too.

I have been there several times. The main attraction are it's smaller rides like bumper cars, roller coaster, planes, etc. There is a pirate ship ride that is very loud and the noise may scare smaller kids. It does have a soft play area with a ball pit and tunnels. I would wait until your child is 3+ to have a b-day there.

I think Planet Pizza is a win-win! Your toddler will enjoy the soft play area and the older kids will enjoy the rides. Plus, the pizza is good. Enjoy!

Well, at 1 year of age, your little one will be overwhelmed with all the chaos anyhow. I've never been to Pizza Planet so I can't speak from experience... just konw that at this age, youre planning the party for everyone else... not really for your little one. They don't know what's going on at 1 year of age nor do they really care. My youngest turns 2 in a couple of months and I doubt I'll still do a big hoo-plah anywhere for the simple fact that ... at that age, it just doesn't matter that much. For 1st, 2nd AND 3rd birthdays for my oldest (he turns 7 this month) we held just relatively small "shin digs" at my home just to a) save on cost b) let him be in an atmosphere he was comfortable so that if he got tired, he could go to sleep and be in relative comfort without worrying about disturbing everyone else and c) I just wasn't the type to invite a ton of people to a 1 year old's birthday party. Some people do want to do that... and that's totally okay..but I never heard anyone say anything about not having as good of a time at my own home as they did out somewhere... Have fun!
