My son would like to have a pirate birthday party. He is 4. The problem is that we need to invite his entire school class (their policy) plus a few of his friends which means there will be around 23 kids. I am looking for a place that can pull of a pirate themed party. Any suggestion of great places that do that? Thanks in advance.
Jungle Wonder is in Limerick. My son went to a party there. It's crazy fun. They have different rooms painted up with different themes. One is a pirate theme. There's a picture of it on the web site.

i second the ymca or gymnastic type of party..they can dress like pirates sing from ropes into foam pits and jump onto trampolines. Theyre ussually pretty cheap and you could J. tell everyone to dress up and bring a few extra materials in case someone forgets
The dance studio my daughter goes to in Collegeville offers birthday parties. They offer them for boys too (so not necessarily dance related). The boy parties are pirate themed. I am actually doing one at home this weekend. Technically, I am having a "Jake & The Neverland Pirates" party. Some kids might dress up (Jake, Izzy, Cubby, Captain Hook, anything related to Neverland, and/or pirates) while others won't. It's all really simple althought a lot of thought went into it.
I am having pirate themed foods: Fish & Chips (Gold Fish and Potatoe Chips), Cannon Balls (Grapes), Swords (Pretzel Sticks or Rods), Pirate Punch (anything will work but I'm doing 7up, Hawaiin Punch, & Orange Sherbert). I am doing a Pineapple Upside Down cake (island theme) and putting some laminated Jake etc on it. I am also doing cupcakes w/ icing and spinkles (Fairy Dust). Using black, red, and white decorations. For their goody bags I am using brown paper bags with a sticker that says "Pirates Treasure" and filling them with a treasure map, compass, and "gold" (Hershey Nuggets wrapped in gold and silver and Rolos), tying them with string. We're making "spy scopes" out of papertowel rolls and coloring pages as kids arrive. I have to treasure map games (both along the lines of pin the tail on the donkey but pirate themed). My daughter is so excited! If the weather holds, they can explore outside too.
Not all the invitees will show up. Our preschool's rule is that if you are inviting them by handing out invites in the classroom all have to be invited but if you invite them elsewhere they don't.
Have you looked into the YMCA? They have parties and I'll bet that you could pay a little extra to have them tailor the theme to your liking.
If you are willing to let go of the idea of a pirate party, The Little Gym is great.
