Hi I experienced pelvic pressure more so on my right side in the third trimester. My ob/gyn said it was due to baby sitting so low and pronouncedly on the right. She wasn't overly concerned so long as there was no bleeding, cramping, etc although she acknowledged how uncomfortable it was. I thought the long body pillow helped when I was laying on the couch or in bed. I hope you feel better.

Congratulations, one for the upcomming baby and two for being in your third trimester! The last trimester was the worst for me. The inpatient excitement to finally have my baby and all of the other "fun" bodily changes! I had a lot of pressure with my last baby. It was not only the pressure but shooting pain into the crotch area. It would literally stop me in my tracks! My doctor said that even this is normal it just means that your body is preparing for the labor and that the baby is positioned low. The shooting pains I would get he said were from the baby putting pressure onto a nerve. All does go away once you have the baby! It's not so fun but oh so worth it!!! Good luck to you and your new baby!

It is very normal to have pelvic pressure, don't panic it's Okay. The baby is growing more and more every day. You are probaly a small person, and that happens even the more with small people. Relax MaMa Stay away from stress, and when your having the pressure get off your feet, if possible.

When I was pregnant with my second child I felt like she was going to just fall out because of the pressure. It didn't feel right. When I talked to my midwife about it she said that if it is bothersome I could get one of those girdles for pregnant women. It helps with the pressure but I never got it, I just dealt with it. If I have another baby I would definitely get one. She said it was due to my muscles around that entire area were stretched out and weak from my first baby. She suggested doing the Keigal(sp?) excercises but if you're in your 3rd trimester it probably wouldn't help a whole lot. It's worth a try. I hope this helped.

I have three sons ages 20, 17, adn 14 and I always had pelvic pressure in the third trimester. As the baby grows, they put more pressure on the pelvic florr and cervix, creating a feeling almost like a mild pulling. If you are very uncomfortable or experience any additional symptoms such as spotting/bleeding, cramps, etc. call your doc. Best of luck.

Yes it is normal -- just another "perk" of pregnancy! lol!
As long as you're not in any PAIN and not having any other sypmtoms, I wouldn't worry, but do mention it to your ob at your next appointment. Good luck!

Hello S.;

First off congratulations !!

When i was pregnant i had a lot of pelvic pressure. I am not sure what kind you are talking about but it is normal to have... i started having a lot of what i called bottom pressure for lack of better words. My doctor said that it was normal because your muscles are getting used to your now dropping belly. When the "bottom pressure" was really intense was when i was standing (i thought he would drop out) or walking. Your body may be getting ready for labor and starting the dilation process. i was dilated like 2 cm for three weeks but if it is something that still concerns you go see your doctor they can answer you questions for you specific concerns. Congratulations and Good luck!!!

I am also in my 3rd trimester. I am 33 weeks. I have been experiencing pelvic pressure but fortunately I'm just carrying my baby low. No labor. My doc did check at my last appt when I told him so it is worth mentioning. Mainly because it can be a sign of pre-term labor. Good luck!
