Dr. Ann Parrington. She's the best. ###-###-####. She is located on Meridian Ave. just west of Mercy Hosp. I always get same day appt.'s - not always w/ her, but her partners are just as great.
I am sure I may get a lot of recommendations but I am trying to find a good pediatrician for my unborn son (due March 2008). Any suggestions? Would prefer the Edmond/NW Oklahoma City area. Thanks.

We have been with NW Pediatrics for 11 years and have been very pleased with the care we have received! Our Pediatrician is Dr. Leveridge. He is a JEWEL!!!!! My children love him, I love him--He is the best!! Good luck with your baby!

I also recommend Dr. Dooley at the Pediatric Group by Baptist Hospital. She is absolutely wonderful. I saw her as a kid and it's where my OB takes his kids. She has been great... patient and understanding when we had those moments of panic (as all new moms do) and very reassuring and comforting when she had to refer us to a specialist.
I am looking for a new pediatrician for my 7 month old son. He currently goes to Dr. John Stecklow, we are unhappy with him though. I do not doubt his medical knowledge, sometimes I just feel like he rushes us. And for first time parents we don't like that. And he never addresses or even acts like my husband is there. My husband has been to every doctor appt with me so he is there as much as me -- and not once has Dr. Stecklow acknoldged him or asked if he had any questions, etc.
So I am shopping for a new doctor. Good Luck!
My OBGYN recommended Dr Richard Stanford.( He is a Baptist.) Come to find out that is who he took his kids to. Our children are 10 & 4 -
I wish that I could find a doctor for my husband and I that I liked as well! My husband says he is the first doctor that he has ever met that has a since of humor. Everyone in the office is great also.
It's a bit outside of Edmond, but we drive to Guthrie to see Michael Elliott. He's been our boys' pediatrician for 8 years. My oldest is now 23, and since Elliott is board-certified in internal medicine too, he doesn't have to give up his doctor. He got us through some very tough times with my oldest, diagnosed his cancer when we had already been to another doctor.
I have had to wait in the exam room for him before, but the wait is ALWAYS worth it. I noticed something once, that he doesn't wear a watch. He said one time a patient saw him look at it, he felt horrible, and took it off and never put another one on. So he never makes me feel rushed. He's also really, really good at explaining stuff.
The downside is that he only schedules "regular" visits in the morning. The upside is that he has ALWAYS been able to see my family the same day when we are sick, because his office leaves the entire afternoon everyday for same-day sick visits.
The drive is about 15 minutes north of Edmond, but it' worth every minute to me.
I love my daughter's pediatrician, Dr. Mickey Crittenden. He is in Edmond at Memorial & Boulevard. I don't know where you are having your son (not all doctors go to all hospitals) but he does have privileges at Mercy and did her exam when she was born.
I just moved to Edmond as well. We found a WONDERFUL Dr. for our two daughters (2 and 4). He is located at Kelly and Covell. Right at the corner of the Coffee Creek Subdivision.

He came recommended by several other mothers at my daughters school.
Good Luck!

Dr. Colleen Dooley at the NW Medical Tower, behind Integres Baptist Med Center is OKC, is a wonderful dr. My son was born with a heart defect and she has been fabulous everytime he gets sick and I panic and take him to see her. Her number is ###-###-####. I live in NE Edmond and would drive to SW OKC to take him to her if that is where she was, we (my son, my husband and I) like her that much! Good Luck!!
