We go to Pediatric Associates in Boynton Beach right now. I have two doctors I see that I really like however...The last few times we have been there weather it was a sick or well visit we have waited over 1.5 hours in the waiting room, and then another 25 plus minutes in the room waiting for the doctor to come in! I can't take that anymore, my kids can't take that anymore! Can anyone recommend an excellent Pediatrician in the Boynton area? Preferably one that has early and late hours.

Thanks Girls! I had several other moms recommend Dr. Pavlou, that's who we've decided to go with!

I went there once after bringing my son home from the hospital and was so horrified I refused to take him back. It reminded me of a free clinic. I now go to Seitz Pediatrics on Jog Road and I really like it there. I always get taken from the wiating room right away but I do wait in the patient room anywhere from 5 - 15 minutes.

Hi karen- i am so over the long waits in the waiting room...i used to take my son to that office too. I have learned that a doctor that works alone is the best way to go. Plus, the doc does not forget your child because he sees one doc and not a large group. So, take some stress off and call dr.pavlou ###-###-####..she works alone and she is amazing. She used to be the head pediatrician in bethesda hospital before she opened her clinic. I HAVE NEVER WAITED MORE THAN 10 MINUTES IN THE WAITING ROOM. Trust me, you will love her...good luck.

We use Palm Beach Pediatrics and I have found the same thing with them... wait time is a problem. I chose the practice because of the proximity, weekend hours and the convenience of having many doctors to choose from when making appointments. It's interesting to hear that you're having the same experience. I wonder if seeing a single practioner is better. I'll be interested in hearing from the other Moms that reply.

I think it depends on your insurance plan. Who else can you go to? If you like the staff, then that's the best place for you to go. Just ask them, tell them how difficult it is to wait with young children, especially in a "sick" room (who made that up? The only reason we go is for wellness check up or the child is sick...and the germs are everywhere anyway...) Most important, the staff's happiness at being in that office is the key to your knowing the doctor is good. Just like the staff at your OB/GYN office...Please talk with the staff and let them know your concerns. And best wishes on your new baby!
