Any FANTASTIC pediatricians in the Oak Park area who really listen, have good hours and believe in breastfeeding? I am willing to drive if needed but want someone relatively close for emergencies. I prefer to go into the city but I guess that just isnt practical in case of emergency.

What can I do next?

I moved even further west and I still use Town and Country Peds downtown Chicago. They have a large staff (I use Dr. Wyman) and they are open 7 days a week. If I have a true emergency I use the closest ER but for everything else, they seem to alway be able to fit me in.

I use Town and Country Pediatrics.
They're here in Lincoln Park, and all of the doctors are affiliated with Children's.
They also have their own affiliations (Rush, Advocate, Swedish Covenant, etc...)

Some of them might also practice local to you. Check out the site.
We've used Dr. Ellen Papacek for years, and I've seen a number of others there as well. They're all great, and I haven't met anyone that doesn't support whichever feeding direction you choose to take.

If you alreaIdy have a pediatrician in the city that you like, I would stick with them. I don't think "true" emergencies would be very common (i.e., where you would need to get to the doctor's office immediately).
