Hi Mamas!
I am hoping that someone can recommend a good pediatric optometrist. I have been taking my son to my optometrist and I think that she is great for me and my husband but I am doubting if she is taking the right course of action with my 6 year old. Please help!
Thank you!
J.

Dr. Nancy Hamming with Medical Eye Services in Gurnee or Lake Forest ###-###-####). She's great with kids and I totally trust her judgement. She was a referral from my pediatrician. When I first took my daughter there at 18 months old, I was worried that they didn't give her the right prescription, it seemed so strong. I took her to another place for a second opinion and didn't mention what I had been told by the first place and they came to the exact same conclusion as Dr. Hamming had in the first place! I should have just trusted her, but when it's your baby.....
Anyway, she's great and we like her a lot. Good luck!
Who do you use now? We're using Dr. Kathy Anderson with Premier Eye Care & Surgery, and they're located in Buffalo Grove (someplace else, too, but I forget the town). She's listed as pediatric, but I rarely see young children in there. She's great with our daughter (aged 3) and went above and beyond to make sure our insurer covered a visit to a retina specialist.
