Boost Mobile, smart phone, touch screen. Unlimited EVERYTHING $50 a month.
I feel like I am paying waaay too much for my phone. My hubby and I are nearing the end of our Verizon contracts, and are considering going with those pay as you go phones.
Sooo... do you have one? If you do, what company do you go through? How is your service? How much does it cost?
We will want to have smartphones... we really don't use that many messages or minutes, but we do go through quite a bit of data.
Thanks!

My husband and I both have T-Mobile and we do pre-paid...have for years. LOVE it. I use $300-$400/year and we put $100/year for my husband for 1000 minutes. Last year he lost 300 of them, since he never used them. It really keeps us aware of how much we need to communicate with others. We call our cell phones "electronic leashes" and we don't think we are so important that everyone needs to get a hold of us every second of every day.
They have other pre-paid plans, but we just "charge" our phones with $100 at a time.
We do the pre paid with Virgin. My son and hubby have had them for awhile now and I just got my phone last week. I went with the same smartphone my son has. We have had really great coverage and no issues. My son's plan is $25/month (300 min / unlimited everything else), my hubby's is $55/month (unlimited everything) and I went with the $45/month (1200 min and unlimited everything else). I may end up upping mine. No issues with the smartphones. This was one of the least expensive plans as my hubby doesn't want to get locked into a contract.
I had the AT&T GoPhone for many years & was very pleased with it. The service was great & I honestly didn't want to go to a plan but that's what we ended up doing anyway. When I had it we just did talk & text but no data. I just did a quick scan on the att website & they do offer some smartphones & data packages. Just browse around & you'll probably find something that will work for you.
I had an inexpensive plan and my daughter's old phone for many years. After it died six months ago, I couldn't afford to buy any of the other phones supported by that carrier, so I have gone with the cheapest TracFone card available, less than $8 monthly (I use my phone only for minutes a month).
I have been very happy with the cost, and the phone actually gets better reception in more areas than my previous provider.
My mom has a basic tracphone that has been just fine for her. She's liked it and enjoyed the no-contract freedom. She does not have a data plan, though.
