I have a few friends who are die hard fans of the program, they say it rocks!
~Just read yesterday, on Twitter, that Bear Grylls does this and Yoga as his daily work-out and we all know how incredibly strong and in shape that guy is!!
Has anyone tried this exercise program? Did you have results? How long did you stick with it? Is it worth the cost? Any info. would be helpful.

My husband and I started about 4 weeks ago and I am so much stronger. We are doing the 'lean' version first which seems to be a little easier than the reg. Once we complete the lean then we will do the regular. I def think its worth the cost if you think you will stick with it. Its about an hour a day commitment.
I started it in February (?) and have lost at least 10-11 pounds (was at 155 and now I hover between 142-144). We hit a patch of sickness in our family and I was out for almost 3 weeks which set me back a bit.
It is the toughest program I have ever done, and I'm still not sure it's the right thing for me long-term (even though I've seen results). It requires a fairly big time commitment, though luckily you are home so you don't have commute time to the gym.
The first two weeks was sheer hell (I even posted here about it). And by hell, I do mean HELL! It does get somewhat better after that, though, and it's fun to see your muscles get stronger.
My husband has done it for a couple of years and absolutely loves it. He was always in good shape but he's definitely taken it to the next level.
It is pretty expensive, so you may want to consider other programs too. I've heard good things about Jillian Michaels "30 Day Shred" (??) but I haven't tried it myself.
Good luck.
I did the lean program of P90X back in 2010. I saw results very quickly. You just have to be disciplined to do it everyday. I looked leaner and became much stronger. My eating habits changed too. Also, I purchased the entire program for $50 on ebay. You may be able to find it cheaper that way.

There are TONS of questions about this over the years ... here is a link to a p90x mammapedia search.
We tried it. LOVED IT! I became pregnant a couple weeks after we started it though, and we both let it go to the waste side, but I can't wait to start up again after the baby. The work out will totally kick your butt!!!
The first few times you'll say "he wants me to do WHAT?!?!" and you'll probably curse at the guy in the video a little. But then, when you accomplish those tasks you feel awesome about yourself. It IS worth the cost, but try first looking on Craigslist or Ebay. Just make sure you get the full DVD set AND the instruction book with it.
I did P90X last year - followed the schedule 100%. I lost only 8 lbs (5 of those on one weekend due to food poisoning), but I did get a lot stronger. From what I've been reading, they actually suggest P120x for women - meaning you need to add on another month to really see results. I did NOT get the results I wanted from 90 days. I did like the DVDs - Tony is a good motivator - but found the presentation a little dry. More geared for guys. Worth the money? I'd say yes, it's a good all-around exercise program that really covers everything. But don't expect the results you see on TV.
Having said that, I did lose 20 lbs and got ripped with Chalean Extreme (another Beachbody program). I coupled it with Couch to 5K (since CE is really light on the cardio) and have never been this toned in my life. I'm actually doing a second round of it because I had so much fun the first time. And I want to get up to 30 lbs on bicep curls!!!
It works wonders!
But it's for experienced fitness people really. Although you can, I would not suggest starting out with it. It's a tough program. Not sure where you are with your own fitness. That's just my feeling on it.
The diet is equally as important as the exercise, too. With both, you'll see tremendous results.
i bought it and it was about 100 bucks plus shipping. i have always been able to keep up with gym classes or any other tv exersize program. i could not hang. i think i should have started with slim in 6 then built up to the p90x!!! too hard tried for a month then gave up...still have it and its a goal.
I know a lot of people who have done it and it works very well (as long as you stay committed, of course!). If you are not the type to push yourself, by yourself, in your home, don't bother. Spend your money on a personal trainer instead. If you can push yourself, it's worth the money. Keep in mind, you can buy it used. Check Craig's List or Ebay.
You have to remain motivated and stick with not only the exercise program, but the dietary one as well. It DOES give you great results IF you follow it and don't give up.
