Hi N....I can help out on this. You ovulate about 14 days prior to your cycle...so its kind of a hindsight thing. A few things...first...you will need to monitor your cervical mucus...it should start out thick and creamy in the beginning and then slowly get milkier and then it should get clear and VERY stretchy. When you reach the clear stage...that is when you are ovulating. You can also use ovulation predictor sticks...they look like pregnancy tests and work in a similar fashion. You would start them around day 9 of your cycle and take one a day. When the line starts getting dark like the control line you are ovulating. I never found the temp method to be very accurate.
