I am a Project Manager by profession - but between jr and mid level. No one will give this middle aged late bloomer a chance to get into a position and grow! I don't have any contacts in the IT world and was hoping maybe one of the moms out there was in IT with the ability to hire or maybe they could ask their signicant others or spouses.
I did end up getting a job nov 08 - as you can tell by my not saying what happened that it has been very busy since then. Now I am scared I won't get hired permanently. I am very anxious and nervous and stressed out. I worry all the time. I almost feel that I am in a Post traumatic stress mode of thinking. Please pray for me to get this job permanently because if i don't I don't know what is going to happen.

Have you posted on Monster, Indeed.com, have you looked up your city and looked if there are jobs on that?
Look up even on Craigslist as some of those postings are good.
I would say since you are a professional, go to a job placement place they work for you and the company foots the bill if you are a good fit. That way they do the work in searching for you. Or even try 10 til 2 website, most of those can turn into fulltime employment.
There is a company I see all over Monster call TekSystems or something like that looking for IT help.

I can not help you but understand your situation. It is really hard to break into a job at our age. I am trying to find my nich after being a stay at home mom for years and putting my kids first.

My husband is in the IT world. Here are a few recuiters that he used when he got laid off. Insight global ask for Kate Kilbourn, Tek Systems, also try Craiglists that is where my husband found his job. Try Echostar, Connecting People and YOH IT.
