Ask your doctor for references. Don't just pick one out of the yellow pages. Hospitals usually have excellent speech therapy resources. Have your pediatrician refer you to one who meets the needs of your child. Your insurance will pay.
Hi ladies! Does anyone know a professional that can handle both occupational and speech therapy at the same time? Thanks a million!

I noticed you're in Plano so not sure you want to make the drive to Rockwall, however, I have my 5yr old at Excel Pediatrics, it's two separate people, but my son does both OT and Speech there. I have seen such an improvement in speech and in other areas, such as before my son refused, I mean would book in the other direction screaming if I tried to get him to swing... I just took him to the park a few days ago and he got on the swing and let me push him... not for very long, but hey improvement. Excel I believe specializes in Sensory issues and does deal with Autism too...
It is highly unlikely that you will find 1 person - they are 2 separate masters degrees, but you can definitely find them in 1 clinic. Our Children's House has OT, PT and ST and they have a clinic in Plano. They have 10 or 11 other clinics in the DFW area. There are also companies that send therapists to your home, such as KidsCare. Having worked at both, I can tell you that they both have excellent therapists on staff.
Try Monkey Mouths. We use them for speech and
I know they have additional services.

I would look into Our Children's House and see if they could do that......They have outpatient clinics in Allen and Frisco I believe. They are affiliated with Baylor Dallas.
PTAC http://www.mypediatrictherapy.com/aboutUs.htm I absolutely love this place! We have been to Our Children's House Baylor Frisco and although they were good they don't hold a candle. Cindy McKenna is the owner and the OT that we have worked with now since last Jan. Beth I don't know her last name is the speech pathologist but both women work with my daughters. Part of Speach is Oral Motor and so a OT can do that. Beth is cross trained as an OT tech so she can do speech and OT. They work great together. They would be a drive for you because they are in Corinth but in my opinion they would totally be worth it.
