We have to find a new doctor for our 5 month old son and we live in Collierville. None of the doctors on the list are in the area. I want opinions about doctors I'm going to list it's 51 names. Good, bad, and ugly opinions because I want to feel comfortable with the doctor we take him to.

FYI: We can't take him to pediatrics east because they aren't covered. We used to see Dr Hayes out here in Collierville. I'd love to go to them but we can't afford to pay them w/o insurance.

I love Dr. John Pender. I believe he is with the Pediatrics Group on Covington Pike. He reminds me of my grandfather, who was in family medicine. He also has two female doctors in his group that I really like but for the life of me can't remember their names. One of them is Holtzman or something like that. Dr. Pender is very friendly and encouraging no matter what your problem is, or even if you don't have any problems.
Scott Klock is wonderful. We have seen a number of the doctors over the years (son is 14, daughter 11) and he is our favorite. He is a Christian man if that makes a difference to you. He practices at the Germantown and Bartlett offices if I remember correctly.
I have not heard of any of them, seems like most of them are within a group. We go to Pediatrics East, a group who has an office in Collierville - so far we liked most docs but especially Dr. Edwards in G'town, Dr. Newman in C'ville and Dr. Higginbotham in Cordova. Dr. Kasis is who we go to. My husband actually went to her when he was a boy! She is great! There is never a long wait to get into her. There isnt a mess load of kids in the waiting room. She is the only doctor in the ofc so that helps.
Dorothy Butler is fabulous if you can get in to see her. She was my pediatrician as a child but I think she is semi retired now.
