OH NO!!! Help Me Learn How to Get This Stain off My Wood Floor!

Is it the plastic that has left an imprint on the wood floor? I had varnished my new table last summer and after a week of drying off, I came from the supermarket. I placed plastic bags on it and there were marks from the bags on the wood. The easiest suggestion from a cousin. Take a cotton ball and a little bit of alcohol and wipe off.
Vinegar is also very good at cleaning wooden floors, surfaces etc. Dilute it in water first.
Hope it works. There is always a way to clean it. Don't worry.

I think it's a surface stain, not one that goes down into the wood.
Is it a non laminated floor? If yes, remove old wax and re-wax and it'll be fine.
If it's a laminated floor, according to the Armstrong flooring site:

Spots Caused by Food, Water or Animals
* Apply Armstrong Hardwood & Laminate Floor Cleaner or Bruce Hardwood & Laminate Floor Cleaner to a clean soft cloth.
* Rub the area to remove the stain or spot.
* More stubborn spots may require additional cleaning with mineral spirits, followed by cleaning with Armstrong Hardwood & Laminate Floor Cleaner or Bruce Hardwood & Laminate Floor Cleaner.

The great thing about real wood flooring is that it can be sanded and restained if worse comes to worse.

But before that, I'd head to the hardware store and look into a restoration kit first. They sell wood restoration kits where stain and varnish is sold. Minwax makes several varieties for wood furniture restoration. Many have water ring/stain removers for damaged table tops etc. Try that. I suspect the acid in the matos' reacted with the varnish on the floor. The restoration kit will have something to remove the varnish layer without wrecking the stain, and you'll recondition the wood, possibly stain and then reapply the varnish. I did this with our dining room table (cherrywood) after finding some coffee cup rings on the surface. It worked fine.

Last week I used toothpaste and it got a lot of permanent marker off my wood table. Maybe it will work for your stain too. Not sure if the toothpaste is specific to permanent marker, but it can't hurt to give it a try.
