I highly suggest Paula's Daycare up on Hyperion and Rowena. They charge $170/week (M thru Fri 8am to 6pm), and that includes 3 organic/ natural meals per day (breakfast, lunch, dinner) and snacks. It's truly a magical place! My ds, Dylan Orion, will attest to that! When I hear horror stories about daycares, I feel so lucky with Paula's. In Burbank, Toluca Lake-adjacent - I use a home based daycare run by a sweet woman named Claudia with able assistance from Maria. She is open 730a-6p and we are really happy with them. My older son started going to there when he was 2 and my younger son when he was 4 months old. Happy, confident boys. All about the healthy meals and snacks. Very relaxed environment, very safe space where the kids can run around and play with the toys. Has an outdoor play area too for when the weather is agreeable, with cute little riding toys. Cost very reasonable. Limits the number of kids to no more than 7 for the two of them to care for. Love that because my older son was briefly in a home daycare with 12 kids and he felt lost in the crowd. Please send me a note if you want Claudia's number.

I had a fantastic daycare for my son- a woman who takes babies in her home - up to 4 or 5 at a time and cares for them with her sister- the way I would -loving and nurturing. Her hours are extremely flexible and her rates are reasonable. I took my son to her when I lived in Los Feliz but now I've moved away so I am heartbroken that I can't use her for my next one! I went back to full time when my son was 2 and a half months old and I trusted her more than my husband with our baby (but my husband figured out how to care for a baby before too long!)
She lives in Boyle Heights area about 10-20 minutes south of Los Feliz.
