Im looking for a place to buy a very supportive nursing bra. I bought my last one from Bravo Bras, they are so expensive and far away. Im in need of another one and have a larger bust so I really need the support. Any suggestions would be great. Thanks

What can I do next?

Hi - I also bought Bravado bra's - two different sorts from the United Hospital store and also from Peapod's on St. Clair in St. Paul. I only strayed from the Bravado's once and paid dearly with a bout of mastitis due to it's ill-fit. I survived for 16 months on only three bras to begin with and then two smaller ones later as my bust decreased in size from those scary-enormous boobs you start out with ;) Good luck - go with less bras but buy the good ones is my advice if $ is an issue.

I would also recommend United Hospital.

I also recommend United Hospital. I also have a larger bust and have been quite happy with my Bravado bras from United Hospital. I bought the first one as a sleep bra but found it was really the best bra I had. I now own seven of the same one. It is shaped a lot like a sports bra and comes in several colors. I know how hard and expensive it can get shopping for a good nursing bra.

(I've also bought from Bravo Bras, did they ever get that better designed nursing bra the lady kept telling me about?)

B.,

I have had good luck at Marshal Fields (now Macy's I guess). The women in the maternity section have been very helpful with sizing for me, and helping to get a good fit.

Good luck.

United Hospital has a Breastfeeding Resource Store that has bras, pumps, clothes, etc. They are very helpful and you get the benefit of having a lactation consultant measure you and help you find the right fit. You can make an appointment for whenever you are available. I would definitley recommend it. Call the Breastfeeding Resource Center to get more info 651-241- 6200
Good luck!

After my first son was born, I got a great Medela bra from the Lactation Center at Methodist Hospital. I'm sure you could find Medela in a lot of places, certainly anywhere that has a Lactation Center, and they will have really helpful staff too. I normally wear a 36D, so I understand about needing one that will actually do something too! And after my second one was born, I got a couple of great bras at Motherhood Maternity. I was amazed at the prices, and the bras treated me really well. Good luck!

B.- I would recommend United Hospital in Saint Paul as well. I just purchased 2 bras there on Friday. They are well worth the price. She measured me to make sure I was buying the right size & talked about all that they had availble. Having a good bra makes such a difference- the support is great. Call them & you will be really impressed!
