I have been really nausaes at night the past two days since my period started and really under the weather is something wrong or is this normal? I just got off the shot the end of April and my period has been regular since then and I am still trying to get use to having it because I was on the shot for 7yrs before my daughter and got right back on it after she was born. And the whole time I had no period, so Iam just wondering if being sick at night is normal? We are trying to have another baby this is why I got off the shot again.

What can I do next?

I used to get sick at night, too. Then I realized it was my vitamins that was causing it. If you take your vitamins before bed, you should switch to taking them first thing in the morning. They're best absorbed on an empty stomach, so maybe you could take them between lunch and dinner instead?

If you're not taking vitamins before bed, it could very well just be your hormones. Every so often I get incredibly nauseous right around when I get my period, just from hormone fluctuations.

I was very miserable when I went off birth control. I was on the pill, but it took my body almost 3 months to get used to it--cramping, nausea, the whole nine yards. My husband was away, so I KNOW I wasn't pregnant. :)

W., I was also on the shot for for about 8 years, stopped to conceive my child and went right back on after he was born. I wanted to suggest you might want to get your bone-density tested if it was the Depo-Provera shot you've been on all those years. I've been told by some doctors I shouldn't have been on it long-term like that, that it is meant to be used for 3 years, 5 max, and that it causes bone-density loss. I had mine tested and it was indeed low for my age and weight etc. I have stayed on the calcium supplement even though I've been off the shot now for a while.

Sorry, I can't help with your question, but I wanted to share that info with you in case you didn't know.

I think there is a chance you could be pregnant. With both my pregnancies, I had a period (the first one was just like normal, the second time it was very light) during the first month that I was pregnant. The first time around I was afraid I had some sort of "female problems" because I felt awful, but still had my period. Turned out it was morning sickness (which doesn't always happen at night), and some women do still have their period while pregnant at least during the first couple of months.
