I have found that when diapers start leaking it is usually time to move up a size. Hopefully that is an easy enough solution!!
The last two nights our 6.5 month old daughter has leaked through her diapers, clothing and sheets. This is probably a simple solution but are there nighttime diapers? Any recommendations? We buy from Costco so the options there are limited. Before I head out to Target, I thought I'd see what's the best bet. Thank you in advance.
Thanks to everyone who responded. I am overwhelmed that so many people took the time to lend a helping hand. Last night we had our little one in Huggies Overnight and it did the trick. I'm thrilled that washing wet sheets aren't on my to-do list today! Thanks again to everyone.
Warm Regards,
D.
I have found that when diapers start leaking it is usually time to move up a size. Hopefully that is an easy enough solution!!
When this happened to my son, a friend told me that that means it's time to move up to the next size of diapers. We did and it worked! Good luck!
I am also a Costco shopper and the Costco brand didn't work for my daughter - we had to switch to Huggies brand (which is also sold at Costco). Since then, we haven't had any problems. Good luck - keep dry!
put 2 diapers on, the first one put a hole in it not all the way threw just a enough too brake the plastic and some of the material stuff, then stick the other over that my ma did that for all her kids and all my nephews and nieces and it works.
You might try just going up one size in diapers. This worked for us.
Try plastic pant cover.Or the next size up from what you are using at night only.Good Luck
D.,
we found that sometimes different brands are cut a little differently - so Pampers might work better for one child, and Huggies for another, for example. It might be worth your while to try out another brand.
Good luck.

Have you ever tried using Pampers? They do sell them at Target, WalMart, Walgreens, and Jewel Food Stores, and you can catch them on sell. I like Pampers better because of the absorbency, and it doesn't sag when wet. Try to limit the amount of liquids before bedtime, some kids are naturally heavy wetters. I have gone thru the same experience with one of my kids, so I hope this advice works for you! Good Luck!!
Huggies Overnights has been the only thing to work once we've hit that stage.
I recomend either going up a size or the Huggies overnights. When going up a size did not work the Huggies did the trick for us.
Good Luck
My daughter has the same problem...I think she waits all day just to go at night...We use Huggies Nighttime, and they do the trick. They are thicker and hold much more than regular diapers. They cost a little more I think, but we just use those at night, so they last a lot longer. By the Kirkland ones from Costco for daytime use too! Good Luck!
My son is 19 months old and I never had any problems with Pampers. They are worth the extra cost.
Are you near a Meijer? I would not recommend the generic brand from Target. They are cheap, but very thin. I go through twice as many as regular diapers and the ALWAYS leak in the middle of the night. I have twin 2 year olds that I have used Meijer generic diapers on and it has been great. Other things you can try, but back a little on the liquids at night when you lay them down for bed. And if you child is a girl dry putting some powder in her diaper right before bed. That helps to absorb some of the wetness that might seep out the top of the diaper, especially if she sleeps on her stomach with her butt up in the air. Powder is not recommended for boys, circumcised or otherwise.
Hope this helps!
When my daughter (now 2)starting leaking through at night we went up a size for her night time diaper and that worked for us. Hope it will work for you.
I know this sounds crazy... but we double diaper my son. Even in the Huggies Supreme he leaks thru! So we put a regular diaper on him and then over the top, so that it overlaps on the top where he usually leaks out of, we put a Huggies supreme. If the one on the outside doesn't happen to be wet in the morning I just leave it on for the first fresh diaper in the am. I know it sounds crazy but it saves me from washing his jammies and bedding every day!
My kids usually started leaking out there diapers when the length was getting to short on the diaper. You may try going up a size to see if that helps. Good Luck!
We have (and had from about 7 months old) the same problem with our boy/girl twins. The only overnight brand I could find anywhere was Huggies Overnights. We love them, and they've never leaked for us.
I found that Pampers Baby Dry work the best for nighttime. The other thing you could try is the next size up in diapers. The problem with that though is it may leak from being too big.
What is she eating before bed sometimes food allergies can cause bedwetting

We are also Costco shoppers, but we have found that their diapers do not work for our daughter. We use Pampers, especially at night. I think it is becuase she is a skinny kid and the legs are too big on the other brands. She always seems to leak through the legs. I haven't tried any of the nighttime diapers because the Pampers work fine for us but I have seen them out there.
Good Luck,
D.
Hi there! My son used to leak through diapers all of the time when he FINALLY started sleeping through the night. We started using Huggies Overnights in a little bigger size than recommended for his size - they have worked great!
I always used the WalMart brand White Cloud. They worked fairly well, but the best thing is to go up one size for overnight (regardless of brand). That usually works quite well. Another tip is to double or triple layer the sheets (with the leak protection pad in between layers obviously). This makes it much simpler to change the sheets in the middle of the night. You just yank it off and voila! You're done. Good luck.
I have heard of people who bought the Costco diapers for daily wear and then got Pampers for night to hold the wetness in. I used Pampers (Swaddlers & then Cruisers) and rarely had a leak-thru. I think you can get them at Costco.
When your little one gets into the size for Pull-Ups (2T & up), they have a nighttime that you can find at Target (not WalMart, as far as I've seen). Good Luck!
Huggies has a a night time diaper that I finds works great. I have a 26 mo. old and a 14 month old that I have used this for and rarely do they leak thru at night. Hope this helps.
My 19 month old had that problem and i started putting a Huggies Overnight diaper on him. They work wondrs and are available at Target and Babies R Us. My 5 month old is now having the same problem and i will be starting it with her as well! So try the Huggies Overnights.
You have ten million responses, but I always knew when my son was ready for the next size diaper when he'd wet through his current diaper at night. We also use Costco diapers (until he moved to size 6, then we switched to Huggies) and I've been told they're made by the same manufacturer as Huggies so they aren't inferior in any way. Plus, they're so much cheaper that it's worth sticking with them! And, if you buy the next size up but are dissatisfied, Costco will take the opened box back with a receipt. Good luck!
I started using the next size up when my trio started leaking through their diapers at night and it's worked like a charm.
I love the huggies nighttime - I found them when my little one was wetting thru.
We used Huggies Overnites for our little one when we had that problem. They worked great.
My youngest, who is now 14, was the same way. We tried every diaper to no avail. I finally found something called a Diaper Doubler.....It looked like a big maxi-pad but without the water-proof liner that adhered to the inside of the diaper and would absorb as much as the diaper did. I don't know if they make them any more and I think I got them at Walgreens but it has been 12 years since I have had to buy them so I'm afraid I don't know anymore. Maybe there is something like that still on the market somewhere.
My son leaked in Huggies and the Target Brand (that are the two I tried in a desperate moneysaving attempt) so we went back to Pampers (Baby Dry) and that works very well.
My son used to leak through at night as well. So I started using Huggies overnight diapers and we haven't had a problem since.
Huggies makes a nightime diaper. They are great too.
To get a better price on diapers instead of paying Target and such store prices try 1800diapers.com awesome prices and bulk sizes. they also have wipes too and deliver to yourdoor.
Both of my girls started leaking at night near that age. Overnight Huggies are great!! Pricey, but at one per day...we decided we could live with it. If she is about to jump to a new size, try the bigger size at night. We found that it can help too. Then we found "Diaper Doublers". They are at Babies R Us stores and look like a maxi pad without a backing. You place them in the diapers and it is like having two diapers on the kid at once. The best part is that they cost less than $4 for 30 or them!! Best baby product we have found! Good luck!
Mine did well in luvs. Give them a try.

Hi D. - I have heard good things about Huggies' Night Time diapers. Good luck!
Two suggestions... use the next size up for night time.
Or... use diaper doublers (sold at Toys R Us or Babies R Us). They are the same concept of maxi pads. Dominick's sells a generic brand that works just as well.
Try buying the next size up and using those for night time.
The solution is: Huggies Overnight Diapers! You can get them at www.drugstore.com and have them shipped at no cost if you buy 2 packages. They are a bit more expensive than generic diapers we use for daytime but they last at least 12 hours with no leaks. They really work and problem solved. Just make sure to order the correct size. There are 36 in a package - which will last 36 nights - so you need to make sure she does not grow out of them before the package is finished...
It sounds like you need to move her up one size. Don't worry if she's under the weight shown on the package. Use the larger size diapers at night. We had to do this with a couple of our kids. The excessive nightime wetting seemed to be just a phase, and the bigger diapers solved the problem.
My son has been wearing Huggies GoodNites. They hold more urine than diapers. There are girl and boy styles. They go on like pull-ups. We call them "night-time underwear." Unfortunately, I have never seen them at Sam's Club, where I shop. Wal-Mart has the best price unless you can find them on sale somewhere else. Good luck!
Have you upped her nighttime bottle? That may be the reason she can't "hold it". Try more cereal in her liquid and less liquid. Diapers are diapers. They work the same only some are shaped differently. Less liquid before bed makes potty training happen earlier in her little life. Little girls are much easier. You'de be surprised what they can do at the 1 yr old age, then you won't have another worry about diapers (till the next child) heehee.
Yes, the Huggies Overnites, i LOVE them. My 3.5yo son is a peeing machine and these work the best.
They do make night time diapers. I always got mine at Walmart. Walmart is cheaper than Costco and Target. The Target here was always the worse place to buy diapers unless they had a sale and you had a coupon.
Diaper Doublers! They do still make them, although they may be tough to find. I've only seen them at Toys R Us, but you may have more resources where you're at. They are fairly inexpensive too.
Huggies makes a FANTASTIC night-time diaper... we've used them since our kiddo was in size 3's.
It could be because the diaper is getting to small on her. Every time my daughters diaper would leak during the night it was time to move her up to the next size. We stick with pampers and have had zero issues with them. I love that the straps are stretchy. If we have the right sizes they never leak.
I have been using Huggies Overnights since my daughter was 6 months old and have never had a problem. Give them a try!
D.,
Is your daughter soaking her diapers, clothing and sheets or simply leaking? Is she extremely thirsty? If so, you may want to consider having her tested for type 1 diabetes. This is something that I went through...Just a little food for thought. Good Luck
1-800-diapers.com. Huggies has a brand called Huggies Overnights. They are the best!! My daughter drinks a lot and they were the only diapers that could keep her dry at night. Safeway also has a product called Diaper Doublers. It looks like a maxi-pad. You add it to their diaper and it also keeps them dry. I hope this helps!
With both my son and daughter we have moved up a size when they leaked more than once at night. We use Pampers Baby dry for both and have not had a problem.
Try huggies overnights. They are a little more expensive, but well worth the money! I still use them on my two year old at bed time. They are thicker than regular diapers and I have NEVER had a leakage problem with my little guy since I started using them. So much easier than changing clothes and bedding in the middle of the night!!!
I have a 5 year old daughter and a 2.5 year old little boy. I have tried many brands of diapers, and have found that the White Cloud brand (only sold at Wal-mart) are the best for both girls and boys. They are dependable and inexpensive, especially when you go through so many. They sell them for around $16.00 for 100+, and the one thing I love about them is that the tabs that hold the diaper closed are not "sticky", but are cloth closing tabs. Wal-Mart also sells baby wipes in the White Cloud brand which hold up nicely and are sold either in since packs or in bulk also very inexpensive. Fits in nicely with a family budgeting.
Like many others have said, try going up one size for the diapers at night (if you still have the smaller size, you can use those up during the day until you run out of them). This worked for my daughter when she was this young. When she got to be about 15 or 16 months old, what worked was switching her into Huggies Pull-ups (I usually get the nighttime ones) at night only. My daughter has a long torso and she was leaking out the top of the diapers at her belly. This worked wonders and we went from having leaks every night to only about 10 or so in the last year. Hope this helps!
I switched to Luvs and it helped. They seem to be made a bit wider/bigger. The crib mattress is wrapped in a Babesafe material too, so it cleans easily, just wipe, and throw the liner and sheet in the wash. Good luck!
Time to buy the next size bigger diaper (at least for night time).
"Good Nights" are fantastic. We'd had leaks with everything else, but these come in bigger sizes.
