Next Step Lipil W/ Iron for My 9 Month Old?

My 9 mo. old weighs 25lbs. He has always been a big boy-born @ 9lbs 3 oz. I am wondering if anyone knows the difference between regular Enfamil Lipil w/ Iron formula compared to Next Step Lipil w/ Iron. The can says it's for babies between 9-24 months. It also says that it's for babies who are transitioning from formula to whole milk (my baby isn't yet). It also provides as much calcium and vitamin d as whole milk. The only reason I am thinking of trying this is because my son is a big boy who loves solids. Has anyone tried this formula and if so, how has it been helpful? Thanks.

What can I do next?

we tried it (soy variety) because of the coupons they sent, and my daughter HATED it. she wouldn't even eat cereal made with it. she would literally drink any brand of soy formula except that stuff. it had an odd smell (stranger than the general formula smell).

Stick with formula until he's a year old. Once he turns 12 months, if he has trouble adjusting to whole milk you can use this formula to help him or if you want him to continue getting DHA.

Next step is whole milk based. I have used this product and you would have to transition your boy from regular formula to next step.

It is good if you can afford it, it comes in small cans not like regular formula that you can get at costco and sams. But it very good and convenient for travel and has extra dha like regular formula.

I used the Enfamil next step after my daughter turned 9-10months. She had no problems with it. & I think it might have helped her a bit , as she has been a tiny peanut since she was born, any extra calories, fat, whole milk products ect.. are great.

What does your pediatrician have to say? I would definitely check with him or her first before making a change.
