I am looking for a new peditrician in Portsmouth. I have two children 7 and 4 and my seven year old has asthma. He has been pretty sick and the past and I was unhappy with Exeter Peds (except for Dr. Loh, who is not accepting new patients)

Does anyone have any advise on the peditrician at Portsmouth Pediatric on Borthwick Ave.?

What can I do next?

My children go to Portsmouth Peds and I love the docs and PAs there. Sometimes their office staff can be a bit callous, but overall very good. They are very good at fitting in kids when they are sick though. One of the doctors (Dr. Turner) even met me at the ER after hours once for my older son.

I need to echo the previous two responses. A co-worker recommended that I see Dr. Brown at the Portsmouth office. So we started going there. My boys both love him. I really enjoy working with Dr. Lamm when he's in Portsmouth, or especially when he's on-call. I saw them yesterday and took home our first nebulizer. Their office got flooded on Monday and things are a little disorganized right now.
I know they are accepting new clients and I highly recommend them.

Hi! I go to Ports Peds. with my son! We love Dr.Lamm! I only habe 8 months of experience with them personally, however my Aunt has been taking my cousins to them for their whole lives (18 & 16) and has all the faith in the world in the dr's there! The office itself leaves alot to be desired though! Good Luck! ~M.

Hi - I just started taking my son there a few months ago, and we've been very happy with it so far. The only downfall is that because it is a group practice, you don't really get a choice of which doctor you see. You can make requests though. Lily, the nurse practitioner, is great!

Hi there
I have 3 children and have worked with Portsmouth Peds for all of them since birth. We have been fortunate enough to not have to deal with major medical issues (except for ear problems for all three) but have been there a lot (3 kids with tubes under the age of 4)- I have always been very happy with them BUT: they typically do not see the same doctor. For us, its been fine, with the ear things we actually request the nurse practitioners (they have 2) because we know them well. But if you want continuity with a doctor its difficult to have that unless you go to their Hampton office. (In their Hampton office there is one guy who is GREAT-Dr. Lamb I think his name is)- On the other hand, we have had to coordinate with speech, surgery, emergency room, etc. and the office staff and nurses have been great. We always get an appointment the day we need to, and they have weekend hours as well. You can speak to a nurse any time you need to during the day and referrals and billing have never been an issue at all. Does this help?
Good luck.
