Lets see..... Main Event has bowling, but a whole lot more. Dave and Busters is my hubbys favorite date night place and he is 30, My first hubby I just rented a banquest room at Olive Garden.
Hello. Mu husband's 30th is coming up & I want to throw him a surprise party. Anyone have ideas on a cool location? I'm trying to get at least 10 people together. So far, I'm thinking bowling, but am doubting it. I'd appreciate your thoughts.

I have seen and hear many "grown men" really like Whirlyball over in Plano/Allen Area. It is hard to explain, but it is a team game played in bumper cars and you have "scoops" to catch/toss the ball to your teammates and make baskets. You play by the hour, and need 10 people minimum. I went by there the other day, and it was filled with adults playing.. There is also a party room, a few arcades and lazer tag. I know it sounds like an adolesent activity - but men never grow up really :) PS - there were women playing too...
I am so glad to hear everyone say Dave & Buster's.. It is a lot of fun and I am actually the event planner at the location off of I35, but can definetly give you the I75 contact person if you want to get something set up. Just email me at ____@____.com
Bowling would actually be a lot of fun!
If you are close enough, Jupiter Lanes (an old-fashioned bowling alley) does adult parties!
My neighbot threw her husband a surprise party at a paintball place. I thought at first that I wasn't sure
but new alot of people who were going so, thought what the
heck. There was about 15 couples. Not all the women played,
but the ones that did had a blast. We were all decked out in our camo. I was hit a couple times and it did not hurt.
It can hurt but mostly doesn't. If your guy is a mans man and you girls like a little competition of the sexes do this. We all had so much fun and plan to do it again. The ladies that played are your typical SAHM, PTA, city girls.
It was fun to just let loose and get down and dirty.
If this is not for you and the ladies, plan it for him and his buddies to go do and get them in on it. (you ladies go and watch) Then do a nice dinner later. If he is an outdoors type at all, he will love you for it.
Speedzone is always fun - Dave and Busters on Park/75 has a couple bowling lanes too - and lots of games.
My husband threw me a surprise party at Buca de Beppo and it was a blast. The family style dinner was perfect for a large group of people. Another fun location is Dave and Buster's. The food is not as good as Buca's, but it gives the guests something to do after dinner. If you want to do it during the day, you could also go to a minor league ball game. Good luck and have fun!
Studio Movie Grill or Medieval Times
Have fun!
Dave & Buster's is an excellent spot for just such a thing.
Medieval Times is fun, but expensive, especially if you're paying for the guests too. Dave & Busters can also get expensive. Whirlyball is a great idea! If you're looking for just a dinner option, Buca di Beppo and Johnny Carinos have private dining rooms you can reserve (I know the ones for Johnny Carinos don't have a room rental fee; not sure about Buca).
